  1. Thanks for the info. The tour operator says their tours are scheduled in Eastern daylight savings time and our ship out of Galveston will be on central DST. Was trying to figure out if the ship will switch to eastern to match the tour operator/local time or not. Makes a big difference when trying to book a tour! I'd like to think the tour operators know how the ships work and schedule tours accordingly, but there are so many... Who knows! Guess I will have to wait and see. I'll also call the tour operator and ask if I need to cancel. We would be an hour late for the tour if the ship doesn't change to local time.

  2. We're sailing on RCI's Navigotor next month out of Galveston. Will the ship stay on local Galveston time-- central daylight savings? I booked an excursion in Grand Cayman, but the tour company books tours based on eastern daylight savings time. Will the ship swtitch to EDST when in the Caymans? I'm really confused about time zones!

  3. I'll be in Cayman on June 25 from 10:30-6:00. I really want to take Native Way's Rays, Reef, and Rum Point tour that runs from 11:15-4:30. I think we'd have plenty of time to make it back to the ship, but I'm worried about not making it on time in the morning with only 45 min and tendering. Considering taking a RCI tour instead so I won't be stressed out, but the comparable package is more than twice the money. I talked with Native Way and they said getting to them by 11:15 will be no problem. I'm thinking a lot more people will be up and waiting for a tender boat since we don't arrive till 10:30... Anyone have thoughts? Private or cruise excursion?
