  1. I am looking at booking a cruise in October and it looks like I have it narrowed down to Conquest or Glory. Looking for opinions as to which ship members prefer. Also if you have any other cruise suggestions for carnival cruises in October that goes to San Juan would be greatly appreciated. We don't really want to fly into San Juan. Thanks in advance.

  2. I am going on a cruise next weekend and we would like to pay for an excursion ahead of time. There are three of us on 1 reservation and we would all like to pay separately for the excursion instead of collecting money from each other. Is this possible to do on the carnival site? If so has anybody run into any issues with it when it came time to board the excursion or any other issues for that matter.

Probably a easy question and answer but don't want to do a trial run on this! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

  3. Has anyone used the new Carnival tender boats that are supposed to be bigger and easier to get wheelchairs on/off the boats? I have not cruised in a while and just curious if these are much better. I am particularly interested in the tender ships in catalina island as I will be sailing out of there on the 28th of Feb. I have a compact manual chair.

  4. We are going on a Carnival Cruise at the End of February out of LA and was curious if there were any Carnival sponsored excursions at the end of cruises? Especially Whale or Dolphin watching or something like that. I have not seen any for my cruise on the 28th, so I wouldn't think there are any but wanted to see if they may offer something on board the ship when we get there.

    Thanks!

  5. Wow! Thank you very much for finding this thread and mentioning the specific post. I really appreciate it.

We are going on the 4 day cruise. We were a little hesitant at first to book because we knew that Catalina was a tender port but the specialist on the phone mentioned they got it figured out as far as accessibility. Looking forward to it!

  6. Resurrecting an old thread. Found it this evening in a Google search. I will be staying in the Imagination M298 and had a few questions about the beds and moving around the room in general. I would like to know how are the upper beds? They look to be right in the face of the one in the single bed like a bunk bed would be or are they spread out in the room.

Second if someone can confirm that there are to single beds and not 1 large bed. I would really appreciate the extra assurance that is the case.

Lastly for anyone in a wheelchair how is it moving around the room with people with a manual wheelchair and no powerchair? I am in a wheelchair and will be traveling with my parents.

Any help in getting my questions answered would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  7. I just got back from a 3-day on Inspiration this morning.

I was in E64 and while there are some pluses, I would suggest finding a better cabin if available.

It is definitely wheelchair accessible as the bathroom had hand rails and a fold-down seat in the shower. There are no steps that I could discern. It is two cabins in from the main atrium. From an access standpoint, it's great.

    There are, however, some downsides:

    1. Noise from atrium - because it's so close, you get a lot of noise of people walking and talking nearby. They also seem to have musicians at the atrium bar so that gets noisy.

    2. Noise from above - this was the worst. One of the kids' camps was directly above. No exaggeration and no hyperbole - this was awful. It was very loud stomping until well into the evening. Kids were certainly having fun, but my ceiling was thumping and vibrating very loudly. Not only was it impossible to sleep, it was not possible to simply read or watch tv in peace.

For reason #2 above, I'd suggest finding another cabin.

Thank you for your review and reply! I really appreciate it.

  8. I am going on a cruise on the Inspiration on Feb. 26th and was assigned E64. I haven't been able to find any recent information and wanted to see if anyone here had any opinions on the accessible rooms and maybe even a few pictures? There will be 3 adults, one of which is in a wheelchair.

Specifically I am wanting to know if there is enough space for me to stay in my compact manual chair and people still able to walk around the room. I am unable to walk at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to post this in the specific Inspiration "sub forum" but the new thread button wasn't there. Not sure what is going on with my account.

Thanks again for any help that can be provided.

    Aaron
