  1. I have thourghly enjoyed reading this thread this morning! I am a 57yo single female and lost my main travel companion (mom) four years ago. I love to cruise (11x now) and like many other posters, my friends are either not cruisers, still raising kids or just don't have the time or means that I do now. I have traveled alone many times, including all over Europe but always felt cruising solo would be difficult. After reading everyone's advice and stories here, I am going to go in search of that perfect solo cruise! Thank you!

  2. I did Cheers on a recent cruise on Magic, it worked for me. Even though we were in port 4 of the 7 days, between speciality coffees, milkshakes, 1.5lt bottles of water and an easy 5+ drinks with dinner, casino, shows it worked for me and my cabin mates. We like most everyone on here went back and forth but in the end being able to get any drink we wanted, any time we wanted and break even at ~$50/day, it was worth it.

  3. We have a somewhat similar situation for our April 2017 cruise. We have booked a suite for 3 adults and are now being joined by two other groups, one in a suite(3), the other in OV(2). The cruise sounded so fun, everyone is coming along!

We have shared with everyone our plans but made it clear everyone is on their own. I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to hang out! Five of us will be on the same flight, as there is only one non stop flight into Orlando the day before we sail away.
