When would the last tender be?
-
Buffet can wait. I’d much rather be on land - especially Cayman land - for as long as I can be.

Hi
We will be in Grand Cayman in Feb and have an excursion that is supposed to end at 2:30. Ship leaves at 4:00. Is that enough time to do anything? Is there anything to do very close to the tender dock. When would the lady tender be?
Thanks.

Thanks.
I meant tour guide.
-
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Anyone know a good guide we could hire for the day?
-
Thanks. Good to know.
I heard there are two beach restaurants there but haven’t found any info on them.
Anyone know?
Also wondering about snorkel equipment to rent there.

Hi
Punta Sur looks like a great place to visit. But are there bathrooms, beach chairs, food, taxis?
Thanks

Thanks. I’ll check out Paradise. Sounds nice.

Hi
Can anyone recommend a nice Cozumel beach - something with amenities, things for teens to do, commfy share in the shade for the wife - that would also have a boat to take me to a nice reef to snorkel at??
Also - likely we would last half a day at the beach - any ideas for something interesting to see for the rest of the day - walk through a nice market?, fun bar that lets teens in to have a drink? something like that.
thanks for the time.

Hi
We are on Vista in Feb in Cozumel, Ocho and Grand Cayman. We booked a Carnival excursion for Cayman but might do private at the other stops. How long would it take us to get off the ship once docked? I heard those with a booking through Carnival get off first. True?
Thanks
-
Thanks.
Does anyone know if you can go for the boat ride without the beach part?
-
Thanks. If we are looking for soft sand we will stay away from the west side.

Hi
I was looking at this on the Carnival site. Sounds like it might be fun. Has great reviews. We've been to Mexico a few times but never to Cozumel. If we did this would we be missing out on something on Cozumel? I hear Cozumel is great for snorkelling off shore - this would be my choice but the wife and teens don't care so much about snorkelling - anything else that makes Cozumel "special"? Any snorkelling on Isla Pasion that I could do while the family is lounging on the beach?
Would love to hear what you think.
Thanks

Hi
Can anyone recommend a private guide? If I can find someone with good references/reviews Id much rather do this than go with the ships tours.
Thanks for the time.

Hi
The Dunn Falls is something that my family would like to do. Has anyone done this through a private guide? I'm hoping a private tour would get us more than the falls and away from some of the tourist traps. But my wife is quite concerned to do this in Jamaica - brother was robbed when he did a private tour of some falls a long time ago. Private tours safe if you know who you are going with?
Thanks for the time.

We were further down from the boat yard and walked back without any problem. Not too far. I think we were on the street when we passed the boat yard but I can't see why you couldn't walk by it on the beach too. Beaches are public as far as I know - I don't think they could keep you out.

Thanks. I asked someone who lives there. It's not really feasible to park around the point and swim in.

Hi
I'm staying at Cooks in July. I plan in kayaking in Kealakekua Bay as much as possible. I know landing kayaks in the bay isn't allowed but I was looking at govt maps and see that the protected area ends at Cook point just past the monument. Is it legal / feasible to land a kayak outside of the protected area and swim back to snorkel?
Or could I anchor a kayak in zone B of the bay where I read you can as long as it's in sand and swim in?
As you can tell I really don't want to tow a kayak behind me when snorkelling.
Not a "cruise" question I know but I thought I'd give it a try - haven't had any luck finding out elsewhere.
Thanks much.

If I was RC I would make this forum required reading for anyone representing my company. This is the third time RC hasn't known or worse yet gave me completely wrong information. I know some low paid phone rep in god knows where cant know everything but even if they just printed off some of the FAQs...
Does RC monitor these forums?

Thanks again for all the info but again why couldn't the RC rep have told me all this? I asked him all of these specific questions and he was completely clueless. He couldn't even send me or tell me where to find the official menue. It's great that all you kind souls are willing to do their job for them for free but it shouldn't be so.

Thanks for posting the menus. Looks great! And with the "plain" options will defiantly not be in any fear of anyone wasting away.

Hi
It's the Adventure. Glad to know that plain options can be had in the MDR! Now why couldn't the RC rep had told me this? Isn't it there job to be informed. Thanks god you all are around.
Hope my family's Cheese Pizza doesn't offend too many ;). We will make sure to save the hot dog on a stick for the Formal Night :D:D.
I've eaten in some very fine dining authentic Italian restraunts. Pizza Blanca isn't fround upon at all. Guess if you charge enough and give it a fancy name it becomes high class!
Thanks again for the info.

We are on the AofS soon. Someone kindly posted a probable menu. Looks great to me but not so much to the rest of my family. I called and RC rep told me only options at Main Dining are things like surf and turf for an up charge. He suggested going somewhere else if nothing looks good. Ya buffet!! Would it kill RC to offer some plain pasta or a cheese pizza as alacarte items?? Not a lot of dining options on A of S. Oh well. Guess my issue for a family of picky eaters. Just sort of makes me feel ripped off to not realy be able to enjoy the whole experience. I'm sure we will not loose too much weight though :D

Hi
Thanks for the tips. Brining water bottles to fill is a great idea. So it sounds like grabbing some pop at duty free before getting on would be easiest but I have the option to get off if I want.
Anyone know if the building where RC's Adventure of the Seas leaves at Pan American is the one with a duty free?
Thanks
What to do for a couple of hours after excursion?
