  1. many thanks for info will be on spirit in may. we are platnium been on many cruises, hope to see you someday

Great, we are platinum too, will be Cruising Spirit may, from Syd/to Sing..19nt, will be great!. Have you listed for M&M yet? Our most recent was Fun, with free Photo.etc... Btw, we just rcvd an invite from Carnival AU.to have afternoon tea with their new USA President (Christine Duffy) on Spirit when she is in Sydney. early Feb.to meet their crew etc?..Wow, don't want brag yet, maybe she wants to see our home-made MadHat??. It said "Smart Casual"...let you know how goes if you are as intrigued/nosey as we are...we have accepted their invite.. just to keep in touch with Duncan and Dessi's crew.

(Not telling her, we will be on VOS mid feb, 10nt to Pacific Isles)..Best of luck with your menu quest (g&j),

  2. anyone have dinner menu from spirit? from usa most ships here have same food, just wondering about the spirit in australia

Hi dbelectric,, just digested your post, we never "stole" a menu from the Carnival Spirit yet, and just booked our 9th Cruise on her for next may-19n to Singapore..but we assume their MDR dinner menu format is similar to usa based ships. It was revised/updated around September'17, with a deluxe feel.

The Wine list is now included, it has an Everyday page and a separate Today page with Chef's recommendation etc etc.You can still mix and match and the desserts are still generous and to die for!

Btw, we found it funny- every table now has a nice bottle of red, "set with the table number on a stone tag tied around the bottle neck" on the table when you arrive..and we noticed some Cruisers would add "THEIR" bottle to their collection each evening.........Yes, its NOT complimentry!! eh!!.. Ok, we suggest you or your Cruise agent contact carnival.com.au directly, am sure they will assist with menu details.

Best Cruising Wishes, Perhaps meet you on "Spirit" in Aussie waters one day... (greg&jill-Sydney au)

  3. Hi Pawags45, Our 7th cruise on Carnival Spirit from Sydney-Australia soon!!

We find the Aft Cabins on the Spirit just Fantastic!, if you leave the balcony door slightly open at night- the sound from the ship's wake will definitely put you asleep... so-yes, you will hear some water noise when the ship is moving (as well as some minor vibration depending on the seas) but altogether the views will certainly compensate.. We also like the aft section as there are fewer people moving in the passage way's.. ( eg. no kids running...) Enjoy your Cruise!..

  4. Unless you get....Splendor.

Hi Captain C, We love your Posts... We have done 5 Carnival Cruises here in Australia and soon will board Carnival Spirit for 12nights to Singapore.. for its update in dock etc.. We just received our Carnival "Gold" pins.. can you tell me how to "transfer" these onto our CC posts?? eg. like your platinum?

Thanks, oh, and Happy Cruising..... with Carnival--- naturally!

  5. We are obviously at cross thoughts some how, here you mention extended balconies midship deck 7, I just can't see any that fit that description.

6333 is aft isn't it. Shower only is what I'm after, sure SHE would love a tub, but I need a shower not over a tub.

Hi there, back again, so we did sleep on it, hope the following helps....

1/ mine, try 8k cabins 7186,7188,7203,7205.. all standard cabins-with shower only and extended balcony, midships (save $400)

2/ "HERS" Book the Ocean Suite.. 6197,6174, Pay the $400 extra.. She

will Love the Whirlpool -Tub.... , and 275 sq ft cabin-with 85 sq ft balcony.

.... SHE also suggests "HE" can shower in the very nicely appointed Finess

Centre.! sorry, i rest my case, Have a nice Cruise... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

  6. Thanks for that.

I think if we do go we'll stick to a balcony, size doesn't matter, shower over tub is a problem and money is money, I do have a THING for Port cabins, which are the extended balconies on 7. Other than the couple towards tha aft 7260 and 7258 all the one on port look the same.

Ok, remember you did say 'midships' ... we were in cabin 6333 last year, fab, nice extended balcony, no vibration, but it has a shower only....

You could try Cruise Critic 'cabin' critics, look for similar cabin numbers for say Spirit or Legend and just read what other cruizers have to say...??? Best Luck..

  7. Hi,Gut2407.. we will be on our 4th 12night Carnival Cruise next march,,, we found the standard balcony size sufficient, we have looked inside various suites during our trips (just nicely ask first!) you will get some xtra space and the spa-bath, and also an extended balcony... now if it must be midships do ensure you pick deck 6... Alternatively, spend the $400 on-board or save it for next Cruise but try to negotiate a "discounted" price for a midship extended balcony cabin on deck 7 (port side for the arrival/departure views) this should give you better value. (imo) Enjoy your Fun-Cruise.
