I hate to say it but this is never going away. We will all have to deal with it if we want to cruise. Each time we board a ship we will be taking our chances just like always. It is up to the individual whether or not they want to take their chances. At this point in time I choose not to cruise and sadly don't know if I ever will again.

Enjoying your review. we hope to do this some day!

Crochetcruise, we sailed last May on Caribbean Princess and they told us they don't have tumblers any more.

I agree EZAir was great for us. I just wish you could check it for planning purposes without having a trip booked...Or can you?
-
This was worth EVERY penny. The Nojito was my favorite. I started making them at home after the cruise.
-
You just show them your card. Not sure how it works with Medallion though.
-
You can use it all over the ship. We loved it! It was great siting in the bars at night watching the various entertainment and enjoying a nice mocktail. Much better than the deal on other ships. Worth every penny.

There was no sign of it on the May 19th sailing. I would have tried it...Have always wanted to.

We were on the May 19th sailing and never saw the birds. We did not even hear mention of them.
I also took the Steel PAN :-) class.
I thought the Caribbean vibe was pretty nice.

I guess it depends on how you define "dressed". No, there won't be an obvious dressing like you would find on a tossed or Caesar salad. However, there are seasonings and flavors (such as the fennel mentioned above). I would think the salads would be pretty bland without this.
They did appear to be tossed with oil or mayo. No traditional salad dressing ranch etc. though. They were ready to eat.
-
Are they dressing free or preprepared?
We just sailed on CP last week. They usually had one or two Shrimp Salads. I remember one was shrimp and fennel. They did appear to be pre mixed with dressing.

We just sailed on the Caribbean Princess. Jeans with no holes or frays are fine and so are nice shorts.
Dress sharp on Formal nights. No shorts or Jeans.

I checked on eBay...It is Princess selling them. I don't see a discount though.

moki'smommy where did you see that price? I need to start shopping there!
When I looked it was around $1070 for a balcony cabin on our sailing. We ended up paying a total of $736 for the balcony. An inside is now $723, we paid $557 when we booked it two weeks ago. We had no perks to lose.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback it really helped us make the decision. We are so excited!

So we were just offered this:

Is this a good deal?

We also booked to arrive the day before. No problem. The great thing was the fare through Princess was actually a little cheaper than through the airline (Delta).

if you are plan to sit in the Aquatheater seats check for soot on the seat before you sit down.

We used to bring water on board but chose not to this past time. We just refilled water bottles in the sink in our cabin and had no issues. You can also re-fill at any of the food venues but you have to pour it into a cup and then into your water bottle.

This happened to us on the Allure. My wife was wearing white shorts and they were really bad. we went back to our cabin. I brought a Clorox laundry stain stick with us and spent about 20 min cleaning the shorts and they came out as white as they were before it happened. she was able to wear them later that week.
-
We were on the allure in May. I would say about a third of the people were dressed in formal wear on formal nights.
-
That must have been great! We have been on both and I sure wish I was boarding one of them today.

I have never eaten at chops but we ate at Giovanni's on Oasis back in December of 2014 and it was incredible. We ate there again on Allure and were not very impressed. We were really looking forward to it as it was the best meal we had on Oasis. We may have had too high of expectations the second time I don't know. I love Linguini Carbonara and the stuff they served me was nowhere near what I was expecting.
The couple sitting at the table next to us said it was their fifth time there that trip so I guess it is a matter of opinion.
I would try it again. Like I said we loved it the first time.

Learn it. Live it!

My wife and I both love coffee. We thought the card was great. In regard to the regular coffee which was being served, that was very good as well.
If you are an early riser, every morning they set up a coffee station outside the Windjammer. I can not remember if it was 6 or 7 am. Anyway, I would get up and walk over there with my coffee carrier (picked it up at Starbucks) and bring back 4 cups to the room. It is Seattle's Best coffee and very good.
