  1. Want to thank everyone for all the input.  Not trying to be a jerk, just trying to stay on topic.  Looked at everything, HAL out of Vancouver just not in the cards for us this year.  Going to stick to seattle.  And since NCL does Glacier Bay, going to stay with original plan.

    Happy travels everyone

  2. Hello everyone.  Haven't been on this forum in a while.  Wife and I (both 60,  active) are planning Alaska cruise in September 2024.  For better or worse, dates are pretty much a lock, and we're OK taking some chances with weather.  Currently have NCL Encore 7 day inside passage out of Seattle on deposit , but refundable until May.  Have been looking at other cruises that might fit, HAL Nieuw Amsterdam inside passage out of Vancouver, and Royal Ovation from Seattle.  A little difference in price among the three, but not enough for any to be a deal breaker.  would appreciate hearing any opinions folks have, good or bad.  Thanks

  3. I have a bit of an odd question. I know internet access is available. Does anyone know if the on board computers have Microsoft Word, or another similar office program? My daughter will need to take a few hours on our upcoming cruise to do some work on a summer college course, and we are trying to determine if she will need to bring her laptop.

    Thanks

  4. SO.....

We are booked as a group of 21 on Splendor on June 25. In order to save some money, we booked 3 adults in 1 room. 1 of those people would like to avoid being a "3rd wheel" but cannot afford the current single traveler rate(almost 2,000 for an inside). Is there a way to see if he could be switched to his own cabin, if there are any available the day of sailing (or even a few days before). Who can we talk to before sailing, or does it need to be someone aboard ship after we depart? Any advice will be appreciated.

  5. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with CSA insurance? They are one of the few that will provide insurance with pre-existing condition coverage. I will probably purchase from them, but would like to hear from anyone that has needed to file a claim..Were there any problems?

    Thanks everyone
