Apologies, Yes I meant Dec. 20. I put the wrong date in the title (working on little sleep). I don't see a way to edit the thread title. The biggest issue is the lack of communication and the fact that other ships got into ports the same day we couldn't. I understand they can't control the weather, but I don't understand why Carnival got into Roatan and Princess couldn't. I guess the good news is, I haven't heard of any Noro cases yet.

Well, this was a massive failure of a cruise. Didn't make any port on time. Because we got in late to Roatan, we had to tinder. That was a complete nightmare. Terrible communication. Most of the ship missed their excursions in Roatan. Didn't even attempt Belize, so now we get 3 days at Sea. Food was average at best. We're done with Princess.

My wife and I are doing the same thing. After quite a bit of research, we went with the Central Hotel in Athens. It's in the Plaka district. So, you can easily walk the area as well as to the Acropolis. There are several hotels in the area, but the Central has good reviews on Tripadvisor and great views of the Acropolis.
