  1. Hi,

Going on AOS in 2 weeks for first cruise, does anyone know if you get a kettle in the cabin? Have a superior balcony on deck 10,

Are you allowed to bring travel kettle or would steward get you one from ship stock?

Tbh this will make the difference between buying a drinks package or not if I can bring my green tea and coffee on board for morning/night.

    Thanks,

    Dalcross

  2. Hi all,

I've arranged a group booking for Flam railway on a Norway cruise later this month rather than pay rccl excursion prices, arranged via CC roll call.

As I've not cruised before, can someone recommend where a good meeting place would be for the 12 people, as I assume there's a lot of people moving around and disembarking?

Somewhere on the ship, just off it? What works best?

    Thanks,

    Dalcross

  3. I can only echo this unfortunately, and I'm from the UK. Booked a 1st time cruise 2 months ago, RC reserved a room for me and gave me the impression it had a sofa bed - and certainly didn't tell me that Pullman beds have a sticker on them saying "not recommended for under 6 year olds" - my daughter is 5.

promise to call back with a resolution after talking to the supervisor on 3 occasions, and never do.

Promised to do a call listen and call me back - never have.

the difference between my balcony E1 and the sofabed balcony D1 on the website now is £90 which I've offered to pay to get the sofabed and end this - won't do it as they say it will now cost me £700 as prices have gone up since I booked although the difference has always remained the same.

Really poor and genuinely frustrated at them - their rep gave me misinformation and recommended the room. They appear to have no motivation to resolve their problem now they've had my final payment off me.

  4. Hi all,

Going on 1st cruise in 1 month on Adventure, but with my 5yr old daughter (6 in June).

Anyone used the kids clubs at all, and what opinion did you and yours have of them?

Also leaning towards the 6-8 club over the 3-5 year olds, anyone used these specifically?

Do you need to book or just show up?

How would they contact you on the ship if there was an issue?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dalcross

  5. Hi,

1st time cruiser and rccl CS no help. My cruise arrives in port at 05.30. What time do I need to be up and leave? Is there a process?

Don't fancy being kicked off the boat at 6am so do they allow some time to wake up at a reasonable hour and grab breakfast first?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dalcross

  6. Thanks all.

My main problem is I rang rccl where they recommended a room and said it had a sofabed when I asked about my daughter.

If I booked online myself, fair enough I should do my due diligence, but when sold by the company, direct and they book the room, I think it's on rccl to resolve.

Shame their customer services involve the usual "I'll talk to the supervisor and call back in 2 hours" promises that don't happen, and you need to chase 6 hours later to have to go through whole story again, and still ongoing.....

  7. Hi,

Called recycling 2 months ago as interested in a cruise for us and our 5 year old daughter.

Lady was nice on the phone, and reserved a cabin for me, and I left the call with the impression it had a sofabed.

Paid for, and recently found out that it has a Pullman bed from the roof, not a sofabed, and they aren't recommended for under 6 yr olds, certainly not mentioned.

My query is has anyone had a young child sleep in these beds, and is it completely safe?

I'm not happy with rccl for this confusion and have complained, but they only seem able to offer me an upgrade at a higher price difference than advertised on the website currently. I don't mind paying extra if necessary, but I expect a little movement on their part as I feel it was missold.

    Thanks,

    Dalcross

  8. Hi all,
1st cruise coming up on Adventure, and I can't find any info on the shows. Can anyone enlighten me on what shows they've seen recently on RCCL ships, and if they are productions worthy of the West End or cut down in size or quality?
Also what time do they start to plan dinner around, and do you book them in advance or just queue for entry?

    Thanks!
