We are booked for spring break 2018 on a Disney cruise out of Florida. It takes us a two day drive to and from. I am thinking about cancelling the spring break on Disney and doing a 4 night on the Vision out of Galveston, which will be less than half the price and only a 4 hour drive to get there. I can't make up my mind and thought about booking it while the sale is on. I will have to cancel one after making up my mind. It is my understanding that the non-refundable deposit does not go into effect until July, correct? So if I book now and then decide to cancel in August will I get my refund since I booked before the non-refundable deposit went into effect or will it convert. Also, how do you get your deposit back? Do they refund the credit card, give you credit towards another cruise, mail a check?

will we need for Little French Key for the day?
We are moderate drinkers on our beach day and will be eating there, as well.
Thanks in advance!
-
Has your trip report been published yet?
-
Thanks guys!
I went ahead and booked through their site and got a confirmation within minutes! I can't wait to be there!
-
I can't wait to read your review!
Do you remember what dinner menus were which nights in the MDR?
Which excursions did you do?
We are heading out in 16 days, but who is counting??
-
The cruise line does not publish the menu order, however if you post the ship and itinerary, someone here might be able to help.
Awesome! We will be on Liberty of the Seas May 28, 2017 going to Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.
-
Somewhere I found a PDF that says "Main Dining" on Royal Caribbean that has a lot of different menus. How do you know which menu will be which night?
-
Is it better to book through their site or through another excursion site like Rony's? We have never been to Roatan and I'm trying to navigate the system. We will be the only ship there that day so I hope it will not be too crowded. We are coming in on RCCL, so will be at Coxen Hole, which I understand is about 10 minutes further than the other docking site, Mahogony Bay. I appreciate any feedback.

That's what I am referring too, your op
I had not called them at the time that I posted my original post. It was only after it was suggested to call them in this thread that I did.
As far as the original post, I was wondering what I was doing wrong on the site, not that there was any disbelief.
-
Then I guess you did not believe them?
Why would I not believe them? Is there a reason not to?
I called them after the recommendations to call them in the responses to my original post.

Two words, "Get a Travel Agent."
What are the specific advantages? I promise I am not being snarky, I am really curious. We have a travel agent who is very responsive, I just did not think to use her for this cruise. Just to clarify, we are booked in a Grand Suite. I was looking last minute for a friend to bring her family along. Here's our story:
I booked our cruise a little over a year ago on the website and kept watching for discounts and ended up getting it rebooked at a lower price a few months later. I'm not sure that a travel agent would be as concerned about a few hundred dollars as I am. It seems like the last Royal Caribbean we went on we did use a travel agent. I think the only perk really was a little bit of an on board credit. The downside to the travel agent, however, is that you lose the power to call and make changes yourself. Everything has to go through the agent.
That being said, we are going on our 11th Disney Cruise in November and we always use a travel agent. I figure it all out and tell her what I want to do and she books it for me. Disney does not offer as many discounts or specials, and their prices tend to be constant with a slow increase, so it is relatively easy to stay on top of it if there are any discounts to be had and she has saved me money. Plus the on board credit is a little better.
We are paid up now for the cruise. Would there be any benefit to having it transferred to our travel agent?

Looks like if you really want to go you will need two staterooms.
This would be their first cruise and I think that they really want to be in a room together. Maybe we will try to get them to go with us next May.
-
They said that they were at capacity for 3 and 4 people occupancy. :(
-
Thanks!
Over the weekend I had put in three adults and it let me but when I changed one to a child it would not. Now it will not let me add over two people or it tells me that there are no rooms left, even though the room category says that the room will hold up to 4 people. I know on Disney they sometimes limit the amount of kids based on something to do with the kids' club capacity, but I didn't think that would be the case on this cruise.
-
We are booked to go on the LOS out of Galveston at the end of this month. I think I have a friend talked into going. I was trying to find a room but it says that there is none available. When I remove the kids there are rooms but when I add her two children back on it says that there are no rooms. What am I doing wrong?

Here is a recent Cruise Compass, which will list all the shows and times:

Perfect! You are amazing! I had no idea how or where to find those!

What shows are playing and what time are the shows?
Other than the character breakfast what other character experiences are there?
I had read about a mixology class. How does one go about signing up for it?
Has anyone done the Galley brunch? If so is it recommended? (We are more interested in the food vs the tour) :D
Thanks! We are heading out 5/28 and just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

What about 1598 and 1298. They are separated from the others a bit and are more mid ship. Those look like they are right under the pools, so noise may be a factor like you guys said.
Is there any vantage to being more mid-ship regarding movement of the boat?
Where is the concierge lounge on the Liberty? I have seen several locations when I am searching and it is not showing up on the deck plan on cruise critic.

Is the gold tint a good thing?
We were in a GS in 2014 but I cannot remember which one and it is not listed on the RCCL site. Is that information stored anywhere?
-
Does anyone have any recommendations for a grand suite on the Liberty?
-
I have four scheduled so far between now and November 2015.
-
They will be four, just shy of their fifth birthday.
I hope that they will like it enough to give DH and me time enough to have one or two meals alone and maybe a little time for the slot pull that the roll call group is organizing. ;)
Even on the Disney cruises it takes some cajoling to get them to stay in the club while DH and I enjoy Remy or Palo. I think you are right about age, though, and I anticipate that they are just entering the age where the kids club will be more interesting.
Are the clubs usually crowded? Are they pretty secure? How do they contact you if you are needed? Do the kids have bands that they wear?
-
Does anyone have any experience with the kids club on the Navigator of the Seas. Your shared experience would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thank you all very much! This is very useful information.
Do most prefer to do a set time or to do the MyTime dining? On DCL we always do the main dining at 5:30 so give the choice between that or 8:30, we definitely need the earlier one (we have 4 year old twins). Having dinner between 6 and 7 would be more in line with what we do at home. How does that impact getting to the shows after dinner?

We have! As a matter of fact we have #11 Disney booked out of Galveston in November and just booked the EBPC in October 2018! That's why I'm thinking I "maybe" can give up the spring break one in favor of missing less time at work and saving a little money!
