I was also thinking of doing BCH as well instead of a snorkeling excursion. I've read that it's very peaceful and relaxing but I couldn't find anything about lockers. If they don't have lockers, is it safe to leave our belongings on the loungers or chairs?

Thanks for all your help! We will look into some swimming classes for him before we go. But just to be specific, he's able to navigate in water with some kind of a floatation device (he did fine last year with a small tube and a noodle), it's just that without one he's not able to since he doesn't know how to stay afloat and doesn't like getting water up his nose.

Hi 1st time poster here :D!

My boyfriend and I are going on our first cruise together at the end of May to Nassau. We were planning to do a snorkeling excursion through NCL and wanted to figure out which was the best option for us. The two options are:

1. Athol Island Snorkel

2. Undersea Snorkel

My boyfriend doesn't know how to swim while I have some experience. If anyone has been on these excursions, could you tell me if they provide a life vest? or would I have to buy one beforehand? I don't trust my boyfriend going on the excursion without a life vest since he almost drowned while swimming in my cousin's pool last summer.

Since it's our first cruise together and overall, I would like to stick with the excursions offered by the ship since it's safer. Being newbies, I wouldn't want to get left behind by the ship :p.

If you have been on any of snorkel excursions, any information would be appreciated! Thanks in advance :)
