You'll be off the ship by 9:30am. I assume you'd be at the airport by about 4:00. That leaves roughly 6 hours. If you're pool people a day pass would be great, especially with luggage. The only hotel I know is the Delano and I don't know if they do that. There are also tours you can take. There are also public beaches that have showers, just not sure how you'd handle luggage.

    Thanks Jenny

  2. My wife and I have only cruised on Norwegian, we have always enjoyed our cruises with NCL.

We are considering going on a cruise with Carnival in August. What are the biggest differences between Carnival and NCL?

What is your favorite cruise line?

    Thank you

I really like Carnival , I have only cruised the Breakaway with NCL and I hated it. terrible service and unless you are in the specialty venues for dinner the food is really sub par.

    RCI is really nice too

  3. Hi

Booked a B9 on deck 14. Is there an elevator to get to thermal suites? Husband has mobility issues? Thanks☺

yes you can take the elevator to the 15th floor and walk right into the spa then the thermal suite.

It was great ,we really enjoyed our time there

  4. Has anyone ever stayed in Paramus, NJ? Looking for a reasonable place to stay the night before departure.

Any suggestions would be welcomed. Would like to stay an hour or less away. Coming from Ithaca, NY.

    Thank you.

Groupon is running a special for Park Central right in Times Square for $109 I've stayed there its great. ask to stay above the 8th floor

  5. I know I am stressing out way more about my upcoming trip on the breakaway than I should be but I am hearing so much conflicting info that I don't know what to do! I started out cruising carnival and am very used to eating when they tell me and than the early or late show depending on your dinner time. This will be my third ncl cruise was on the gem and dawn, I am a big planner though so I would decide every am at breakfast what time to eat and what shows to see, planning on a computer before I even get on the ship and not knowing what else is going on is seriously stressing me out, than I hear lots of contradicting things like you should definately book now or you will be stand by, which would really stress me, others say it's fine book on the ship! I went to book the cirque show for the first night because I read there was a discount but when I called ncl to confirm she told me nope.. Anyone recently on the breakaway want to give me some advice before my poor husband throws me into a snow bank!! Thanks!

I feel your pain, I like to be a little organized and this is kind of stressing me out also. I did book ahead for my dinner and shows and still could not always get the times that I wanted .I couldn't get into Ocean Blue at all and I made my res a month ago

  6. What does everyone recommend for excursions at Nassau?

Also I was planning on staying on the ship in Port Canaveral to enjoy the weather and the hopefully empty ship. We are cruising from NY so this will be a lot nice of weather in March. Thoughts?

    Thanks

we contacted a private driver for a 3 hour tour and shopping

  7. Does anyone have thoughts on how to handle items we don’t want to take home with us? I recently bought 4 nice dishwasher safe insulated tumblers to take on the cruise with us. Once home we won’t use them (have plenty already) besides will probably need the extra luggage space. Would it be appropriate to leave in the room with a note telling the cabin steward to please use them or pass on as they see fit, or would that be an insult? (And this would not be instead of any additional tip, if warranted)

If it’s a good idea, has anyone left other items that the staff seemed to appreciate besides candy? :)

    Thanks,

I always leave my good shampoo and conditioner.( I own a salon)

my room steward is always happy to pass it on to a lady friend. they are always just about full.
