I thought our flight was early at 7.40 not sure what hubby would have thought about 6.30 !! Hope you all have a relaxing flights and a fab cruise .

If you are travelling down the a day or so before, you could consider a trip to the Isle of Wight - Perhaps catch the ferry over to Cowes and catch a bus around the island

A trip to Hythe on the Hythe Ferry could be Ok - There is an old fashioned train on the Hythe pier and there are walks around the town and Hythe Marina

(this would be my last choice!)

A trip to the New Forest is a decent alternative taking in perhaps Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Lymington

I think my favourite stand out choice however would be a visit to Exbury Gardens - It is a heavenly place and is now open and you will catch the beautiful gardens at a good time of the year

Hello Jessie

We are also travelling to Genoa on the same date from Gatwick at 6-30am - The cruise personaliser says we have to be there 3 hours before take off i.e. 3-30am !!

We are staying in a premier inn or similar the night before opposite the North terminal and hope to get just a few hours sleep. Thursday promises to be a long day................

Have a lovely holiday - At least we will be in Italy within two hours or so

Thank you so much for posting the information - We leave for Genoa on the 30th April and the holiday now seems so much closer

We are also flying out on the 30th April for seven days - good to know we will be able to see a little of genoa as we thought that by the time we get on onboard the ship will be rest to sail. !
