  1. Here are two follow-up articles that HuffPost Maghreb published a few days later, after pressing for a few more answers from the Tunisian authorities:

Amel Karboul: Généralement, les Israéliens doivent demander un laissez-passer pour venir en Tunisie

(Executive summary: The Tunisian minister of tourism insists that the Israeli passengers needed a visa and that this has to be arranged ahead of time and cannot be obtained upon arrival. And that Israelis were not specifically targeted in this incident; they were just applying Tunisian law.)

Touristes israéliens - La décision était politique et préméditée, les autorités tunisiennes nient

(Executive summary: Everything the Tunisian minister of tourism went on record as saying turns out to be completely false.)

And neither one of those stories would be even slightly biased and should be believed as 100% true...

  2. Fair enough. You think it was appropriate to adjust the amount down for no other reason then the fact you had 4 people in a room. That may be how you feel but it still does not make it right. Hope you put the 28 dollars you saved to good use lol

There is no right or wrong. Your opinion about the matter does not mean you are right either.

  3. I'm glad to see that you felt it was worth your time to save 4 dollars. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually it was $28, and using that absurd amount of exclamation points was, well, childish. You are free to adjust your fees as you see fit. What we chose or choose to do is of no concern to you.

  4. Sorry but I do not understand why you adjusted the amount down just because you had four people in a room. Didn't the room steward have to make up additional beds each day? You can justify the reason for yourself any way you like but you come off as just being cheap.

You don't have to understand it. It was our decision not yours. also the fact that YOU consider it to be cheap is 100% irrelevant and was not used at all in making our decision. We did what we thougt and still think was appropriate. You are free to do the same.

  5. Has anyone actually adjusted their service fee lower on an NCL cruise?

On one of our cruises where we had four in an inside cabin we chose to reduce our fee to $10 a day for the 3rd and 4th person. This brought out total to $44 a day for the cabin rather than $48. Seemed to us like a fair amount. We did not totally eliminate it for those two knowing that more than just the cabin stewards get the money. It should be noted, as is the case with a lot of people, we did individually tip for service during the cruise as well. They did ask us why we wnated to reduce it and I just told them there were four of us in the cabin and tipped along the way. Was not made to feel bad about it at all.

  6. Sorry to say that even though you know something, that doesn't mean that everybody else knows the same - no matter how many times it has been posted on the CC NCL forum. If you don't want to read about it then just scroll past the post instead...

(And by 75 views so far, obviously some people wanted to see the prices).

No some people wanted to see if you were asking what the prices were so they could answer for you. Search is your friend... :D

  7. Anyone know if there is an Ultimate Texas Hold Em table game on the Getaway?

And would I be able to play at the casino using my onboard card or do they only take cash?

AFAIK it is. Has been on all the other sips Ive sailed with NCL. You can use yoru card to get cash advance at the cage with a 3% fee but you cant simply go the table or slot machine and use your room card to play.

  8. Tried searching but not having success. If I buy the Verizon plan for data and pay the $25 do I then incur charges from ships satellite service over and above to use data (pretty much just emails, won't be making calls) wondering if this is a less expensive option than an internet package to stay on top of emails. Sorry of this is a dumb question; not very savvy! I have a Samsung Galaxy if that means anything.

AFAIK, there are TWO components to using your cell phone on a cruise, the charges form NCL for access to their system AND the charges form your provider. It may not be that way for all people all the time, but it very easily CAN be. Further knowing exactly what combination of charhes you will incur can be extremely difficult to decipher and it can run up an enormous bill rapidly. The best thing is to not use your cell phone on board at all unless absolutely 100% necessary.

On another note, I do know that is SOME ports US VI for example, soem carriers (Sprint is one AFAIK) inclue calling as part of heir standard plans. Off the ship can be different than on it.

I know I did not exactly clear things up for you 100%, but I wanted to share what I have.
