  1. Taxi ride was $4 per person to Carombola and the ride was like 10 minutes....very quick. The walk to Shipwreck was just a walk along the beach maybe 5 minutes. You can see it from carombola. We spent the day here and would have stayed longer. We had to be back on the ship by 430 so we cut out early. Lots of taxis waiting at carombola to take us back....still $4 each for the return trip. The snorkeling was really run.

  2. Front rows closest to beach go first then they start filling the second row etc. might as well get a full day in here..it's beautiful for swimming and snorkeling. Hungry....take a short stroll along the beach to Shipwreck for lunch although beers at Carambola were only 6 for $15 ( last Friday 2/17).

  3. We were just a Carambola and Shipwreck last Friday 2/17. Taxi for 4 of us was $4 each and the return trip the same. Carambola was beautiful and we snorkeled most of the day. Beers were 6 for $15 and we walked the short distance to Shipwreck when it was lunch time. Fish tacos ( choice of Mahi Mahi/Grouper or Red Snapper), Conch Fritters...stiff drinks and fried plantain. The monkeys were pretty passive...we saw 2 only and a single mongoose. We left our gear at Carambola all day and no one messed with it. We had no reservation there, just showed up with money in hand, $10 for a lounger and $10 for an umbrella. It was a great day there.

  4. Victor Bodden no longer visits the orphanage. They had problems with someone taking the donated supplies and reselling them per Larson, our driver from Bodden...just a week ago. We took supplies with us and brought them back home.
