Is it acceptable to ask our room steward to remove the mini-bar items so that our kids won't get into them? If not, can we move them to a "hiding place" and replace them at the end of the cruise? Our 5 year old may not understand the concept and it may become too great a temptation. Like the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, "you can eat the snacks anywhere on the ship, but do not touch these snacks!"

My little boy likes a Shirley Temple when we dine on cruises, I take from this reply that there will be a separate charge for this. It is our first time on HAL.

Mary Ann, would this route take us by the Arcadia Maple Store?

I would like to personally set up our tours and not schedule through the ship. I have researched a lot and have never seen the name of the restaurant that HAL uses for their Acadia National Park and Lobster Bake.
Any other tips are welcome concerning the area!

I am reading through your World Cruise posts and am mid-February now. I have wondered if there are any children on board? What a classroom that would be for some very fortunate homeschoolers!

Just off the Maasdam this past Saturday and there was no dessert extravaganza. The only time you are likely to go hungry is from 5- 5:30 and 9-11:30 p.m. the only option in this time frame is room service
