  1. We've been out of Canaveral using FTTF. We usually arrive around 10 or 10:30. We didn't have to wait long. Main reason we had to wait at all was a slow wedding party arrival and they get to board first.

Love that Canaveral has a separate line away from the general boarding for FTTF too.

We're sailing from there in 9 days with FTTF and cannot wait.

Hope you enjoy your first trip using it!

  2. We have been purchasing FTTF for the past three cruises. We have scheduled it for all three we'll take this year.

We love the lack of lines at the port when we arrive early. No line at the FTTF check in, well at least in port Canaveral. We had one person in front of us in Tampa and one delayed boarding but that was for the entire ship.

It is great to board early, enter thru the doors that advise people to stay out and drop off our carry on luggage. Then head for lunch and then people watch or read for a while.

By that time our luggage has been dropped off and we unpack and head back out to explore and people watch some more.

We will keep purchasing FTTF until we hit platinum. That will be a while as we are just hitting gold.

We loved having this on the Legend last November. We had two tender ports and it paid off well.

Guest services is fun too. We had gift cards we were given by family and friends. There was quite a line. No one in priority line though. We walked up, flashed the back of our card and were helped immediately. We got dirty looks from those in the long line. Maybe next time they'll consider FTTF too!

Needless to say, we highly recommend it!

  3. Miya story comes from our first cruise in 2008. We had gone to our room to await our luggage after having lunch. We were new so weren't exactly sure when to expect delivery or how it was left.

We get to the room. I'm wearing a sundress and foundation garment under it trying to look my best. We're in fl, which is where we live.

I'm hot. So I take off my dress to cool down. I' m standing under the air conditioner in the middle of the room. All of a sudden our cabin steward walks right in with our bags. I jump behind my husband and grab my dress from the bed holding it in front of me.

My teenage daughter is laughing. The steward blushes, apologizes, backing out stating he didn't realize anyone was in the room.

Needless to say he surely knocked every time after that.

  4. We love walking around town, sopping and grabbing a drink or two at the bars by the port. We have done two excursions here and loved them both. Most recently have done the tequila experience. Definitely a great one for learning. We have also done the Mexican cooking class twice. It is awesome! Plus unlimited drinks from the bar on this one. Chef Oscar is great! Both of these excursions should be able to be done in this time frame. And both are a lot of fun!
