  1. Laura from Cruise Critic has been trying for many, many months to get Royal to show the locations and times - the way it used to be. You will know if there are enough people registered for Royal to host a Meet an Mingle Party (7 night cruises or longer) if you try to register, plus when there are enough registered (25) you will receive an email. The location and time has been removed (months ago). Generally if day 2 is a cruise day Meet and Mingle will be that morning or whenever your first full cruise day is. There should be a notice in your stateroom, when your board, verifying location and time. If there is no notice Guest Services will not be able to give you information as it is not a shipwide event and if that is the case, the Activities staff/Cruise director will have the information.
I have been to M&Ms before and as you say, normally the 1st sea day and notified by the stateroom notice. Just wondering what happened to the confirmed list.
  2. If there is smoking in the casino on our upcoming cruise on Explorer, we will not spend any time let alone any money in the casino. Previously when on a cruise on Rhapsody when in the port of Brisbane Qld an announcement came over the intercom that we were refueling and that Smoking was not allowed at this time. The Smokers just ignored the announcement and just continued to smoke and even light up again whilst we were refueling, putting everyones life in danger. The ships staff and crew did nothing about this even though we saw crew members and officers walk past these inconsiderate smokers. What is the point of having rules or making announcements if they are not going to be policed, especially while refueling. Smoking areas should be well away from other passengers, not near the pool areas where kids will be exposed to passive smoking. Unfortunately right near the pool areas is where the smoking areas are on all the Royal Caribbean ships we have been on. There should be designated spaces that have extraction fans that take the smoke away from all other passengers or even better than that no smoking at all, just like on Aircraft!

  3. Cool

And along with legend will be a good mix

Where does this Legend rumour come from. I cannot find anything to back it up. I would be happy if it were true as I am not a Voyager class fan, so Explorer is not appealing, but Legend is.

  4. My wife and I did a day tour to Port Arthur a couple of years back and I would recommend organising your own transport if possible. It takes a couple of hours to reach Port Arthur by bus from Hobart and including the return trip, this does not leave you much time to take in all that is Port Arthur. We only ended up with less than two hours there and virtually ran around taking lots of photos so that we could see them later.I would not recommend trying to go somewhere else on the same day as you will not get enough time at Port Arthur. I believe you could easily spend a couple of days there and not take it all in, including the Island of the Dead. The site may be small but there is so much to see and digest, and for a place of so much misery it is absolutely beautiful. Try to maximise your day there. There is not a lot in Bernie although there is a quaint little museum that is worth a look and there is a little town near by called Penguin that is also worth seeing

  5. Booking very early or very late are generally the times that you are most likely to get a good deal, however I must agree with the general opinion on this cruise as it is Rhapsodys last cruise from Oz it is likely to book out fast. I would shop around now for the best deal I could find and grab it with both hands to ensure you don't miss out. Some of the current deals I have seen are quite reasonable.

My wife and I are already booked on this cruise.

  6. Its a shame we are getting another Voyager class ship as I found Voyager when we cruised on her was too crowded for our liking. Too many cruisers trying to get into too small venues. We couldn't get a seat in All venues except main dining and lascala theatre. Don't get me wrong the ship is beautiful just crowded. We prefer the smaller Vision class and Radiance class ships, and will have less choice, with two Voyager class ships.

  7. We are booked to cruise to Singapore from Sydney on Rhapsody on 17th of April 2015. Rhapsody is relocating to Asia and no longer going to Hawaii and back to Alaska. I don't know which ship is replacing her on the Alaska run and I am not sure if she is returning for our summer season in 2015 although I believe she will be.
