  1. YES THEY WILL be Using facilities.. sheets and towels that still need washing whether the person using them is 6 months old or 60. diapers need to be disposed of.

if you are of the mindset that an infant is not to going to be using anything then you do not bring them aboard at all. and the biggest reason of all: THEY TAKE UP A LIFEBOAT SPACE, removing the option of a full fare adult being able to do so ..someone who WILL spend money on board and use the facilities.

children cost money. a LOT of money.

you both have a point, the infant wont be getting dinners or putting a dent on the buffet. if a cabin is double occupied by adults the third infant wont be mouch extra work or expense for a cruiseline. but as you said they wont spend money they may be a bother crying and such and strollers in the way. i feel they do it to lower the amount of infant and kids overall.

  2. Wow!!!! Well that's mad!!!! P&O offer infants at around £200. I'm sorry but how would a 6 month old make use of facilities to the sum of £1000. They would not be eating the food on offer, they would not be using any facilities. That's madness. Complete and utter madness! I get it from perhaps 3 or 5 years old. And I understand making a small charge but when an adult is paying £1250 how can you charge £1000 for an infant.

    Wow!!

i think its too keep the level of kids down. they do it at casino buffets sometimes, keep big price for them so as to discourage too many kids

  3. This is an interesting thesis, but you really need to back it up with some level of data.

I went back and looked at our last three Holiday cruises (all 5-night JS on Radiance class ships out of Tampa:

    2012 - $3562

    2013 - $3442

    2014 - $3744

    2015 (before the sale) - $3324; after the sale - $2682

The reality is that the "jacked up" price before the sale was actually the cheapest we've seen in the past three years.

those are all jacked up prices you paid imo. hehe. well what i meant was they already booked for regular price and bogoho is nothing more than a price drop. it is good price dont get me wrong, just not deal of a lifetime.

  4. many of those who say they got a great deal had already agreed to pay a jacked up price from the start, then got the bogoho so they think its great. when in fact its ok , nothing more than a price reduction and sales technique to drum up business and fill the ships for next year up quicker.

i caught the bogoho the first day and while it was a good price it wasnt the best ,nor the best iv gotten. i see there are some great deals inside 60 days. i do realize not everyone can do that though.

  5. If you think that you have Noro Virus (you can look up the symptoms elsewhere) you must report that to the medical office. The consultation is free, and so were the medications. There was no charge whatsoever, and we were then given a note from the Guest Services Manager that told us that we would receive credit for the time that we were quarantined.

I will follow up with Miami shortly for the adjustment, for final payment on another cruise.

    Rick

thanks for the info, just in case it happens on a future cruise

  6. Yeah, I don't know how their website continues to be so very bad.

People keep saying 'early glitches' but the glitches never go away. They just get worse.

i use to work for a cellphone company and we had a deal with clearwire. launch day was approaching and the website sucked and you couldn't activate the phones properly. there was a conference call with the CEO of clearwire , as plain as day i laid into them as they were talking about banners and ads and sales and things. i said we could have banners everywhere however if we cant activate the phones what good will all this do,lets focus on the website for activations so it goes smoothly. after that honesty i was offered a job by them , lol

  7. I have been trying to book an excursion and a drink package for several weeks! It keeps saying my credit card wasn't accepted......THERE'S NOTHING ON THAT CARD!!!

So far I have been lucky that none of my "attempts" have resulted in a charge on my card BUT I'm at the point now where I'm about to forget the whole thing.

Can you imagine how much money RCI could be losing because people either just give up or decide to book private exursions?

    Come on RCI......get it together!!!!

yes exactly i pointed it out how much their IT dept is costing them. some just cancel the cruise and go to the competition too i bet. its a rather expensive vacation for some and it is a little uneasy not knowing your reservation or plans are in tact.

  8. I dont know but their whole online system thing is horrible. I booked a cruise while on board for my first time. So when i got home i checked it out and everything was fine. Then a few days later I logged in to see if i went from Gold to Platium and it did so i clicked on my reservation and my BOGO disappereed and showed i owed 650$ more than i did last time.

They said it was cause i looked at an excursion is while it took away my bogo credit.

I was like seriously. then another girl told me was cause my C&A status changed. I dont think anyone knows what is doing on

no they dont, and they are probably told to act like it must be you and not the website. as if its working perfectly and this is new to them. lol
