  1. I haven’t used a park n cruise deal as I am close to the port, but have used Park Port Canaveral for parking several times. It is associated with the Marriott and we have never had an issue there. This week we tried the new one - Canaveral Cruise Parking, which is cheaper. I will not use them again because of a very rude and non-professional driver we had. I do believe that the Marriott does have a park n cruise rate.

  2. We just used them and will NOT use them again. Embarkation was fine and the male driver was great, very friendly and professional. Debarkation was a disaster today. The driver, Jackie, was rude, complaining about how many bags people had and other things. The shuttle was very full with about 18 people, but there were bags that would not fit in the luggage holders blocking the aisle and stacked high. It’s a wonder that none of it fell on any passengers. Not a safe situation but the driver didn’t seem to care. Also, they require that they valet your car. I prefer to park my car and keep the keys with me.

Overall, the debarkation driver’s attitude and lack of professionalism is what made my decision.

  3. The social package worked well for imessage. We also used the hub app but it seems that it would randomly log off and you have to be logged into it to receive messages. Great concept for the app but needs improvement to be reliable.

Forget trying to get any streaming at all on facebook with the social package. (John Heald live)

  4. I just got off of the Magic 10/8 and was surprised to see the offer. I couldn't book online for some reason but was able to book through the Carnival rep. Total of $118.25 per person for 5 day out of Tampa (not including tips).

I gambled less on my last cruise than on any previous cruise.

  5. I just got off of the Divina today. I use a cpap but did not bring a foreign plug adapter. I went to guest relations and they provided me with an extension cord to use, but put a charge of $60 on my account, which was removed when I returned the cord at the end of the cruise. I had to plug it in at the vanity though.

  6. I saw people getting them in the casino just by asking at cash desk. They were the same coiled plastic ones like Carnival uses, and they will punch your key card for you. I noticed this on the Divina a couple of days ago, but I had already done my own lanyard setup.

  7. I called to make some inquiries about matching to Carnival. The rep emailed me the form. I don't have an actual card either so I printed out my info from the Carnival website and scanned it in to a PDF document. I emailed the form and that pdf back to her and the status match was completed that day or the next, I don't remember for sure at this point.

  8. After I got the confirmation, I asked my TA about the 5%. He checked with MSC to make sure that everything was in order and told me that I would get the 5% refunded to my credit card in 7-10 days, as I was already paid in full.

  9. I called to ask a couple of questions about the status match this week and the representative offered to email me the form. I filled it out and emailed it back the next day, and they processed it and mailed me confirmation of my status that same day. Sometimes a phone call really helps.

  10. Does MSC offer free drinks to gamblers in the casino on the Divina? If so is there a minimum amount of play required for this like there is on Carnival?

This will be my first MSC cruise coming up in June.

    Thanks

  11. Thanks, Volt. Which ship/cabin was this? Is there normally an additional chair, and your room just didn't have one or are they all like that?

I don't know. I just noticed that the pics Hockeyluver posted showed a chair. The cabin is 6276 if I remember correctly. This is on the Liberty.

  12. There are a series of large square shaped interior staterooms on the upper deck of Splendor that do not appear anywhere else on the ship. Staterooms numbered 6287 to 6307 are square shaped and look to be much bigger than the other interior rooms. However, they are listed in the same square footage/category as the other interiors on this deck.

Also, I did not notice rooms in this location on the other decks. If you go up to deck 7 or 8, there are no rooms at all in this location, it is just blank space on the deck plan.

Does anyone have pics or info about these rooms? We need to quickly change a room with 4 into two interiors and these look great on the deck plan, but might not look great upon boarding.

    Thanks.

We recently had one of these-- 6237 on the Liberty. If you still need some pics I think I have some. Let me know

  13. We also were on her last week. Great ship, not too big or too small. The steakhouse is a must-try. We wanted to try the Alchemy bar, but just never got around to it. We are considering cruising her again next year. The shows were very good as well. Our room steward and wait staff were excellent.

  14. I have to agree. We just got back from the Liberty and the comedians were okay. Happy Cole was the funniest, but the female we had was terrible. We went to both the family friendly and adult shows and I said to my husband that they were just as funny without all the profanity and sex jokes at the family friendly show. Some of them used the "f word" more than others and one got a little too raunchy for me. They do give you the disclaimer, though.

Our host was only around 22 years old and he even seemed embarrassed when he told a dirty joke or had to say, "get the f out." I guess the majority likes that and that's why Carnival is keeping that kind of comedy.

i was also on that sailing. i didn't care much for the female comedian, but the others were good. My wife and I especilly liked Jason Blanchard.
