  1. We have stayed in cabins near 8154 and found this area to to quiet and convenient. Typically the forward elevators are less busy most of the day.  Don't worry about the weather when walking through Central Park as there are several large umbrellas in a rack at every entrance to Central Park forward and aft.  We love staying on deck 8! Enjoy the cruise!

So when you're comparing prices, you have to make sure the lower price is for a 2B cabin. You can 't compare a 4B (for example) and get the lower price, it has t be for the exact same category. The deck does not matter, it's the category that matters.

    It was 2B to 2B

    What category of cabin?

Keep in mind "balcony" is not a category.

1D, 2D, 3D... etc. are example of balcony categories.

Are you comparing the exact same category or the same type of cabin?

Spacious Oceanview Balcony category 2B, same deck.

  4. I am sailing on Explorer October 2023 and noticed a price drop on the RCCL web site this morning.  I called the reservation number about a price adjustment and was told I had the best price already.  I read from the web site the price I found.  The agent said she could not reprice the fare, that I must be looking at a different category cabin.  Hung up with her and double checked cabin category.  Called back and posed the same question and was told the cabin price had increased.  Called Crown and Anchor customer service number and was told the online price I found today was for new bookings only.  First time I have had this difficulty repricing a fare.  Has anyone else had this experience?

  5. We sailed on Aoex last September in Aqua Class.  We viewed the 4 main dining menus before dinner on the App and were able to order from them in Blu, On the 10 day cruise we ordered a couple of unique appetizers and one main dish from the Main dining and the waiter was eager to make us happy.  Enjoy your cruise!

Smokey Bandit--I just looked at our May Quantum Alaska sailing and  packages is not an option. I looked under all the categories, but did not see it listed. Where did you find it?

    Barb

In cruise planner, top banner next to gifts and gear, all the way to the right.  Packages.

  7. Has any one else seen the Premier Pass package as an option for an upcoming sailing?  It is listed as a package option in the Cruise Planner which includes:

    • Welcome bottle of Veuve Clicquot
    • Priority embarkation and debarkation
    • Inside Access tour (two guests)
    • Officer's lunch (two guests)
    • Unlimited internet access (two devices)
    • Captain's toast and photo
    • Wine pairing with sommelier (two guests) - wine is complimentary
    • Laundry service (one bag per stateroom)

Price is $88.99 USD and must be booked between March 10, 2023 – March 15, 2023 and applies to select sailings departing March 14, 2023 – December 31, 2023.  Sounds too good to be true.

  8. Our recent experience with Flight by Celebrity also involves American Airlines.  We are flying home from Amsterdam next month through Dallas and were assigned seats by FBC upon purchase.  There have been several itinerary changes along with seat location changes.  We are flying premium economy and selected seats, two together (configuration of rows 2-3-2) left side of plane.  We have been moved to a row of 3 for the flight from Amsterdam and different rows for the flight home from Dallas.  I contacted FBC and they told me I needed to talk to the airline.  Contacted American who said I needed to talk to Flights by Celebrity. Once I explained my concerns, the agent said the seat changes were a result of FBC had not paid the fare to enable ticketing even though our full payment had been processed 2 months earlier. So I guess the next time I will ask for the full payment by FBC to the airline so the seats can be ticketed.
