When we booked our obstructed view cabin on the quantum, we were told the obstruction was the life boats but they were below us so we wouldn't see the water but could see straight ahead just fine. Now I'm reading the life boats are visible from our deck (6) and can be seen straight ahead from our balcony. Can anyone confirm either way?

Wondering if anyone has stayed in this room? Wondering just how obstructed the balcony is.

We're on this ship on February 20th. Can't wait. I've read a lot of negative things about this ship after the first few trips. I was getting worried that we picked the wrong cruise. Nice to see positive things now. Hopefully the negTive comments were just because it was a new ship and the kinks have now been worked out.

I went on a Carnival cruise about 10 years ago. The ship was an older ship called the celebration. Even though I took gravol before getting on the ship I was still sick the first day or so. at the time, there were baskets of sea sick pills scattered around the ship that were free. These pills worked quite well for me. Any idea what medication they would have been so I can stock up before my cruise in February?
