  1. This is the first cruise that DW and I will be taking on NCL and we are really looking forward to it. One of our favorite things to do, if available, is to find the acoustic guitar players onboard. We were wondering if anyone could advise as to whether and where we might find this entertainment. We are sailing on The Escape May 21st and can't wait! Thanks in advance for any information.

  2. In my experience, it is only on the long cruises that the trivia games may become a "blood sport". The cruise staff member running the game has much to do with this. If their PR skills are good, the games are fun, even when some may dispute the "correct" answer. If their PR skills are lacking, , well, be sure you know your lifeboat number.

Thanks to all for the info and advice! We will definitley note our lifeboat number in case it gets too crazy:eek:

Can't wait until we have an opportunity for one of those long cruises and can get really competitive :) Right now it's just for fun...probably because we never get too close to winning. Thanks again!

  3. In perusing the map for Glacier Bay it seems to the "untrained" eye that there may be more than one glacier to see. We are on the June 29 sailing of the Oosterdam and I was wondering if, from experience, anyone would be able to tell me which one(s) the ship might sidle up to. Thanks:confused:

  4. I'm curious about the availability of any trivia gatherings on the HAL ships. My DW and I were fans of the games on the only other cruise we were on. I had read on a thread or two that some were a little "to competitive" for some cruisers. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who would like to comment. Good reactions or bad. Thanks in advance for any opinions.:)

  5. Good afternoon! I am new to the forum and welcome any answers I can get from all the veteran cruisers. From reading some of the threads I've seen that you can circumnavigate the Oosterdam on Deck 3 (Promenade Deck). Is this the only deck that you can do this and what decks can you get the farthest forward for general viewing? Thanks in advance for any and all information about gettin around the ship. My wife and I ,my wife's sister and her husband and their daughter are all looking forward with exitement to our cruise!
