We are taking a cruise from Barcelona in March, and are looking for transportation from BCN airport to our hotel on La Rambla the day before.
We will have 3 checked bags + 2 carry-ons, so too much luggage to fit in a regular sedan taxi. Are mini-van taxis readily available at the airport and is there a premium fee? Is it better to pre-arrange transfers in this case (2 passengers)?
Thanks.

Pre-covid, we used to watch the ships leave from the jetty at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. I know it was since been damaged in a hurricane. Has it re-opened, or can one still walk far enough along the path to watch the cruise ships depart?
Thanks.

I plan on it today.
I hope it is only because it is a 3 day cruise that the service is lacking. Otherwise, it makes me reconsider booking the Star for Hawaii.

Thanks so much. Planning my Dec. 2020 cruise now 🙂

Elite minibar setup. Four beer and four liquor. Didn't there used to be six liquor?
There's supposed to be 8 liquor!
From your Live From the Ruby May 5, 2017:
Mini bar, free drink coupon, and lounge invite, which interestingly does not mention Platinum guests. -
Walk off 33. Would Canadian burger please contact guest services . Lol

Actually, Princess is great for anyone with allergies or other issues. The head waiter will give you the menu the night before, and will suggest what you would like; they will also make anything else you desire within reason...be nice to your head waiter :)

We used the AIBP for free gelato on the Regal at Gelatos in Dec. 2015 and on the Crown at the International Cafe in Jan. 2016 and June 2014.

I don't like dresses or skirts or heels that cause me pain for a month (or in the past, pantyhose). Yet I still manage to wear a LBD to formal nights and spend an hour on my hair and makeup. It is just rude for someone who can't be bothered to spend a minute to tie a tie or wear one to go to the MDR on Princess. You should go to the buffETte or carnival ?

I should have been there to help with trivia :) At least trivia and tea didn't conflict!

There is an app Cruise schedule port Everglades that has been accurate for me 30 days out.

On Dec. 20, 2015, the Royal had pier 2 over the Regal, although we embarked at pier 2 on Dec. 13 on the Regal.

Not true. Cabins are always available when you board. You must be mixing up Princess and another cruise line. Or else you had a one-off situation.
On the Regal princess in December, we were handed notes on shore that the rooms would not be ready until 1 p.m. As it was the only cruise I took in December, I am not mixing it up. Multiple other posts confirm the cabins not being ready upon boarding.
The dining room menu for embarkation lunch was 1/3 of the size of previous Princess cruises. There was nothing on it that was safe for me to eat, which is an anomaly on princess.

Has anyone come across a Regal Princess patter, Caribbean?
I haven't scanned them in yet (I hope to this weekend), but I will post the Patters from the Regal's Dec. 13, 2015 Eastern Caribbean sailing as soon as I do.

Yes to both questions. I had the AIBP on the Regal on Dec 13, 2015, and there was lactose free milk (rice and soy) at the I.C. and gelato was included :)

Chris, thank you so much for posting the patters for the last two days! That was me who asked because I am OCD about the schedule on a cruise and it helps me to plan. I will post the patters from the Dec 13, 2015 Regal Princess when I return to hopefully help future cruisers.

Thanks so much for the review. Will be on board in 4 weeks! Can you please post the remainder of the Patters? It helps so much to plan my cruise :)

I've scanned the Patters from the Caribbean Princess BTB Dec. 13, 2014 5-day Western Caribbean Getaway and Dec. 18, 2014 4-day Eastern Caribbean Getaway and added them to my blog.
Enjoy!

I'm looking at Aft Obstructed Oceanview cabins and E629 doesn't appear when booking in stateroom selection - it's not sold, just blank where it should be. I've checked multiple sailings and it doesn't appear, but the cabin is on Princess's deck plans.
I'm thinking about booking E627 and wondering what is next door.

How dressy was the "Dress to Impress" night on the Friday? Were many people in suits or fancy dresses?
My relatives are joining my husband and I on the second leg of our BTB, and I'm hoping to get some formal family portraits taken that night.
Thanks,
Shari.

Thanks so much for posting the Patters!

I posted this on the Princess board, but thought others might be interested too.
My husband took a video of a crew member being medically evacuated by the US Coast Guard on June 12, 2014 from the Crown Princess in Glacier Bay.
You can find it on my blog:

It was featured as an Editor's Pick on CNN iReport.

I've scanned and posted all the patters from the Crown Princess Northbound to Alaska on my blog:
http://crownprincessalaska.blogspot.ca/
I will attempt to post a trip report later, but for now wanted to get these posted as I was searching for them before I sailed.
Hope it helps someone.
I can try to answer any specific questions. We spent most of our time at Crooners and trivia.

The Reserve menu may be similar, but it is not identical. For example, last night veal was on the reserve menu but not the MDR one.
