Yeah I would definitely book it. We are booked on the Dream for the week after Easter, same 3 ports. We had a cove balcony on the Dream 2 years ago and loved it. Went with a conventional balcony this time just to compare, but would do the cove balcony again as well.

We were on the Dream last year and loved it. Big boat, but with that comes lots of things to do. Actually just booked another cruise on the Dream for next year.

We decided to cruise next year for Mardi Gras too. I was set on booking the Elation, for me, the wife and my 12 year old twin girls, until I showed them pictures of the Dream with the slides. Now we are booked on the Dream in 2 Cove Balconies (my 23yo son is coming too). Can't wait, hope to see you there.

Yeah, I have been able to see all the great pics for the last few days, but today none of them are showing up.

Great review and pics so far. Sailing on the Dream in February, and can't wait. We will also be in a Cove.

I started out with a TA for our Feb Cruise. He is a person I know on that "other site". Told him what I wanted, took forever for him to get me quotes. Had lots of questions that he struggled finding answers to. Dropped him and called Carnival direct. Got a wonderful PVP, that answered all my questions. She has called me already about the recent $50 deposit in case any of my family members were ready to book. I think I will stick with booking directly with a PVP from Carnival.

Another post asked what time of day do you see the most price drops. I was wondering how far out do you start seeing price drops, or is it random as well? Sailing on the Dream out of New Orleans in February.
Also, we are booked in 2 adjoining Cove balconies. Has anyone gotten price drops on the cove balconies, or do they usually book up and not give many price drops? Thanks for any info.

Fairly new to CC, and bumped into your review. Sailing on the Dream in February, and since the Breeze is similar, decided to read your review. I must say I am addicted now! Awesome review and great pictures (regardless of what camera you are using). Impatiently waiting for the next day to start. Kinda like waiting for the next season of Walking Dead to start! Thanks again!

We are sailing on the Dream out of New Orleans on Feb 15th, and not much yet. No FTTF, and only about 5 excursions listed so far.

Great so far, can't wait for more!

I have never sailed in a cove balcony, but have 2 booked on the Dream in February. Did a lot of research before booking, and it seems pretty overwhelming that the people who stayed in them, LOVE them. Hope I feel the same! The pic shows where they are. They are the rounded openings under the life boats. Very close to the water.

How is the room on first impression. We have 2409 and 2407 adjoinging in February for Mardi Gras. First time in a cove.
Leaving out of New Orleans & casino qustion all help appreciated

Louisiana allows gambling on riverboats (barges on the water made to look like riverboats). Also 1 land based casino in New Orleans (Harrahs) as well as on indian reservations. It is also written in the gambling laws that gambling is allowed on Cruise ships on the Mississippi that will be sailing into international waters.
