  3. Got this from the Ventura Facebook page

Hi everyone. So we have a list of the main areas for refit that starts today. This may not be the complete list as there is sure to be painting and varnishing going on and also repairs to any faults that have been reported to them. But this is what we have and if we hear of anything else I will add to it.

    The Beach House and Waterside

Both restaurants are to be refitted with updated flooring and new tiling in the main walkways and new carpets and furniture.

    Carpets

Carpets will be replaced in all suites and cabins, and several public areas. The Atrium, Oasis Spa and Salon, restaurants including Saffron, Waterside, The Glass House and the Beach House, and the bars including Red Bar and Havana Lounge.

    Theatre

The Arena Theatre will be fitted with LED wall installation and the sound and lighting desk updated.

    Shopping

Ventura’s new retail partner is the world’s leading travel retailer Dufry. The shops are being completely refitted and new brands Brics, Olivia Burton, Liu Jo and Longines will be added. Radley, Cath Kidston and Kipling will remain among others. Large glass display window is to be added to the shops on deck 7.

    Dixons Travel Store

This will increase in size with more of the latest technology offered such as Fitbit, Apple, Amazon, Bose, Canon and GoPro and the latest model of the Supersonic hairdryer from Dyson.

  4. Hi Claire

We were picked up from Scotch Corner services at 06.00 and stopped at Wetherby, Leeds, Sheffield and Northampton

Journey was effortless in a very comfortable new coach

Arrival into Southampton should have been 14.00 but we were delayed in traffic

Arrived at 15.30 and were on board within 30 mins( our luggage beat us to the cabin)

The return journey was just as impressive boarded the coach approx 10.00 after breakfast and back at Scotch corner 17.00 with stops at Sheffield and wetherby

    Have a great time

  5. Hi , we are travelling to Southampton via the coach company tomorrow morning. Does anybody know if they have seat belts or lap belts. I have two different car seats for my 3 year old and trying to decide which is best or if needed.

We are excited to be boarding Ventura tomorrow for a much needed holiday.

Hi we travelled from Darlington in September and the coach to Southampton was a lap belt the return coach was a full seat belt

Both recent new coaches and clean and comfortable

    Hope this helps

    Enjoy your cruise

  6. If you book anything on board I think it is best to put down a Future Cruise Credit without deciding which cruise to use it on. Some people do more than one.

If you are thinking of booking for 2019, you could get in early and snap up the precise, rare type of cabin you like and get the Friday flight, from your preferred airport, Premier Economy seats and dining options you want. You should get this at a reasonable price and if you are happy with it book up.

If you do not want to try and get any of the hard to get options and are happy with just sailing, look at the last minute prices for this season. You cannot guarantee that the level of pricing offered this season will reoccur however it is likely that the situation will be roughly the same. If Friday Balconies are available this season for really cheap prices, I should be tempted to wait. It is a big decision what cash can you save and how will you feel if nothing suitable is available late?

Compare the going rates on different years and then have a deep think!

    Regards John

    Thank you John

    Food for thought

  7. Hi all just wondering

I am thinking of booking an Eastbound Transatlantic in 2019 which I am led no believe are released in April, Am I better booking early or waiting until September when I'm onboard Ventura?

Would I get a better deal onboard?

    TIA

    Ian
