FWIW. Our May 28 and Jun 6 btb cruises were canceled on Apr 16. Apr 17 I applied to Celebrity for the refund for both and on May 14 I received two fairly large credits on the credit card totalling about 80% of what we paid but neither of the credits matched any amount on the reservation. Knowing from previous posters that this was not unusual I waited for additional credits. After a week I decided I should call Celebrity and find out where the rest of the refund was. I checked our credit card online one last time before I called and lo an behold 6 more small credits were posted. Of course they didn't match anything I paid but in total represented a total refund to the penny (actually $2.00 more than I calculated). Now we wait for our next cruise in Jan and will decide later whether to make the final payment or not.

When you are doing btb cruises (in same cabin), do you need to complete the online check-in for both cruises or only the first one?
-
I'm just a little bit confused maybe. Did they just retitle the old Michael's Club as The Retreat Lounge in the same space and is Luminae in the same place as always on the Summit?

Looking forward to your review. We'll be on this cruise in Jan.

You mentioned that Anastasia will have a replacement. Do you know when this replacement will happen? We are sailing on 9/23 and just wondering who will be the MC concierge for that cruise.

Looking forward to the rest of the review. Thanks for doing this. We board on 9/23. Who is the Michael's Club concierge?

Thanks to you both.

I've looked on the website but couldn't find a phone number for Captain's Club. I have a problem with my booking which I am hoping they can help me resolve. Can anyone help me out with the number?

I found that the Celebrity ships were much brighter than Princess which I found rather dark (e.g. woods in the interiors). I really like the Solstice class ships. I am not familiar with the Princess ship you are talking about, though.

Enjoying the review. Thanks for posting. We cruise on the Eclipse in January (Sky suite) and are looking forward to it.

I am disabled and have sailed out of Cape Liberty several times. I have found it advantageous to be dropped off at the door to the terminal and either limped in myself or when possible had a family member help me...once or twice my wife helped me in and left the car outside for a few minutes. They didn't like it but she told them that she was just helping me inside. Just inside the doors off to the left is a row of chairs where the disabled person can wait.for wheelchair assistance. After my wife has parked the car and joined me (10-15 min later) she would find the person coordinating the wheelchair assistance and made sure they knew we were waiting. btw, we usually arrived at the pier around 1030ish, before it got too crowded. Eventually, the wheelchair pushers were done getting people off the ship and had their break or whatever and started getting the new people needing assistance onto the ship. At this point it becomes easy! The pusher will shepherd you through the line to check in (there may be a special handicapped check-in line - I don't remember, but either way, it is not a long wait. I also can't remember if this is a two step process to get onto the ship (some ports have people that move you in the terminal and ship personnel who take you from the terminal onto the ship). If it is a two step process, there may be a short wait at the end of the terminal to wait for the ship staff. This sounds maybe a bit complicated, but really it's not. I always consider myself over the hump when I am seated in the terminal. There may be some waiting but I have never been substantially delayed getting on the ship. Once you get the ship staff pushing you on the ship they will drop you off at the buffet or some other place, if you want. Another issue to anticipate is that you will perhaps need assistance to get from the buffet (or wherever) to your cabin. there is no further shipboard assistance! But the able-bodied person can go to the cabin when they are opened and get the wheelchair or scooter waiting there and bring it back to the disabled person. Then get an adult beverage and you can really start enjoying the cruise! Hope this helps.

I have in my mind that I read somewhere on the forumsthat you could check a walker or rollator by putting one of your luggage tagson it and leaving it with your bags at the port and they would deliver it toyour cabin. Is this correct? At the time I read this it was not applicableto me so I didn’t focus on it. My planis to take my scooter onto the ship, but I would use the walker or rollator forshort walks, around the cabin, etc.
Thoughts on checking either the walker or rollator? Thanks.

Thanks for the informative review. Enjoy your cruise.

You should be able to just walk into Luminae. Given that you want to eat early, my experience is that 6 to 630 or so is not crowded. If you get a note from Celebrity on embarkation day asking you to come at a different time, feel free to ignore it and go when you want.

We're sailing next month. Anyone have any comments (good or bad) on the Michael's Club and/or MC concierge on the Eclipse?
Thanks.

I am thinking of buying a travel scooter(I have MS) and seem to have narrowed my choice between Pride Go-Go Ultra X 3-Wheel and Drive Medical Spitfire Scout 3 Wheel. They seem to be good choices at a reasonable cost. Does anyone have any comments on either of these scooters? Assembly/disassembly? Reliability? Comfort? Other factors? Or is there another travel scooter I am missing out considering?
Thanks for your help.

I need to book a car service in January to go from a Ft. Lauderdale Hotel to Port of Miami (and return). I need a private car (not necessarily a limo) but not a van due to a handicapped passenger. Anybody use a private car by either (or both) of these companies and willing to share their experience? Thanks very much.

We'll be on the next cruise. Can't wait!

I understand how it would work in blackjack, but how does this work with slot machines?
-
Just curious. Is Michael's Club more crowded now that sky suite passengers can go there?

I have stayed in aqua class accessible cabins on the Eclipse and Silhouette. they are very nice and the extra room works great with a scooter.

Anyone have any tips for us getting off the NJ turnpike headed to Cape Liberty? How is the construction at the exit? I just stay to the left and follow the signs to 440 South, right? I'll be coming thru the 10-10:30 on Thursday. Thanks.

My wife wanted me to ask: can anyone pls describe the hairdryer on the Anthem. Specifically, does the switch have to be held in the on position while drying your hair? In general, is it a good hairdryer or poor?
Live from the Equinox in a Sunset SS 10/22 to 11/5 (b2b) hope to be able to answer questions

DW and I are doing a b2b in Jan./Feb. after not cruising since the pandemic started.
Embarkation questions:
- What was the process at the pier?
- Do you have to worry about vaccination? Show your vaccination card?
- Did you have an assigned time to check in? Did it matter?
- Is there a special place for suite guests to check in?
Who is the suite manager?
Thanks very much.
