  1. so you're saying the kayaking is kind of boring and we still have to take a bus back to Skagway...ok makes sense...didnt think we were kayaking all the way back...lol...

The kayaking is on a barren alpine lake at Fraser, where the train trip ends - you go back to Skagway by bus. If I had to choose between sea kayaking or this, I'd go where there's life to see as well as great scenery.
  2. Celebrity is offering this tour that is a total of hrs combining the climb of the White Pass railroad then at some point " disembark at Lake Bernard, to begin your kayak exploration. Paddle through the lake's cold waters as you search for bears, mountain goats, and other local wildlife."

The other trip with the bikes is thru a company called "Shore Excursions"

We are a pretty active family but I'm not sure about the 1.5 hr ride downhill riding the brake most of the time.

  3. We are planning our excursions for Alaskan cruise Aug 2014. One of the excursions we are planning in Skagway is the White Pass railroad. There is an option to go one way on the train and either bike back or kayak back. Each physical trip is about 1.5-2 hrs. Any suggestions as to which is better, easier etc?
