Hmmm...And we all know how accurate their website facts are...right ??. Sorry I still don't believe it has

or they would make this kind of major change and no one has "Posted" about it recently happening.

I agree with the accuracy.  Here is what I found  regarding LV under the FAQ on RCI's site.  I don't see where it says anything about  not being able to fly out of FLL if arriving in Miami https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/does-royal-caribbean-offer-luggage-valet

Thanks  I am not going to worry about it any more.  If I get an invite, and my friends are free to come, I'll just bring them, and if they turn them away, so be it.

Did you book with a TA and are you part of a Group Booking which means that you have a Group Booking number and not the official RCI booking number that would appear on your Confirmation Invoice from RCI?  If this is the case then the Group Booking number is not being recognized when you try to sign them up for the M&M.

    Hello,

Recently I had to cancel a cruise 4 days before it began due to emergency surgery. It was of course past the point of any refund. I did fortunately have insurance so no loss on my part. Seeing as Royal kept the cruise fare, do I still get credit for the sailing on my C&A membership?

Just curious. I realize I didn't actually cruise, but they did still keep the money, so???

Thanks for any replies in advance.

If you had insurance, then why did RCI keep your cruise fare?  Once you were refunded port taxes and fees from RCI, you would then subtract that amount from your total cost and submit that amount to your insurance company along with all the necessary paperwork from your doctor.

    Good plan

The alternative venues page break seems like something is missing.

So are PC allowed in SL for happy hour?

I thought the same thing, but that is exactly how the email was posted on FB.  It appears that Millie may have wanted to included the names of Alternate Venues, but did not.

PC Members will have Dazzles as their venue for Happy Hour as stated in the email "During this sailing, Dazzles on Deck 8 will be your exclusive Happy Hour venue for Pinnacle members only each evening from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm".

  5. For those sailing on the Symphony

    Dear Pinnacle Club Member,

Your Symphony of the Seas sailing is just a few days away, and we are so excited to welcome you onboard and have you experience the NEW sound of adventure.

In preparation for your voyage, I, along with the Symphony of the Seas team have made some exclusive enhancements to accommodate our most valued Pinnacle Club members.

On Boarding day, we look forward to welcoming you with a special lunch in Main Dining Room, Deck 3 from 12:00 pm — 1:30 pm. The Symphony team and I will be waiting for your arrival to assist with all your loyalty and onboard reservation needs, including Coastal Kitchen. We will be providing three guaranteed reservations in Coastal Kitchen for this sailing, and accepting daily walk-ins for dinner. Space is limited, and is likely to fill up quickly. Therefore, we appreciate your understanding.

During this sailing, Dazzles on Deck 8 will be your exclusive Happy Hour venue for Pinnacle members only each evening from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Also, I will be starting our celebration in Dazzles for an exclusive Pinnacle Club cocktail party on Boarding day immediately following Muster Drill from 5:00 pm — 8:30 pm.

As always your SeaPass cards will be loaded with 3 complimentary drinks to allow the freedom to explore and enjoy the many lounges and bars on board with new or old friends that may not have access to your exclusive area. The Crown & Anchor Society drink menu will be available to you throughout the entire ship (excluding Bionic Bar & Rising Tide Bar) during the Happy Hour.

We have reserved Chops Grille on Deck 8, in the beautiful Central Park as an exclusive venue for our Pinnacle Club members to enjoy breakfast and lunch curated from the Coastal Kitchen menu. Breakfast hours will be from 7:00 am – 9:30 am on port days and from 8:00 am - 10:00 am on sea days. Lunch will be served from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm on port days and sea days. There is no need to make reservations as Chops Grille, is exclusive for Pinnacle Club members for breakfast and lunch.

In addition, we haven’t forgotten about your specialty coffees. If the lounge gets too crowded during the morning rush, step into any of these alternative venues and present your SeaPass card for a specialty coffee:

    ALTERNATIVE VENUES

Keep in mind, with the extraordinary amount of Crown & Anchor Society members sailing, priority luggage may experience a slight delay in delivery. Therefore, please keep necessary items such as medications with you when you board.

The Symphony team has also planned some not to be missed events during this cruise. And - don’t forget to pack your costume for our Halloween bash and costume contest.

I look forward to meeting all of you in Dining Room, Deck 3 on Boarding day to start this amazing adventure. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  6. Just for the record, John has never been anything other than a total gentleman. We are just having a spirited discussion.

I think John’s comments are equally as useful as mine for any future cruisers to inform themselves of when and what type of cabin to cruise in.

I hope this thread has helped people make better choices for their hard earned vacation dollars.

I've been following your thread here with great interest. As a PC Member since 2012, I find it very disturbing as to the behavior of some.

Back when the level was created (January 21, 2011), it was just another level in C&A. But, during the course of the year, the Charter PC Members (those that had 100+ cruise credits prior to the conversion) were not happy with their benefits because they were only getting what D+ were getting and nothing special. RCI, again, created a level and but never thought out the logistics of the level.

Most of the PC Members are very nice but then there are those select few PC Members that believe that they are "entitled" to all the benefits because they paid to become Pinnacle. Nobody held a gun to their head and made them cruise on RCI.

RCI's biggest mistake was when they told PC Members that they would be issued Gold SeaPass Cards and be entitled to Suite Privileges. This was back on November 11, 2011 when the email was sent out.

So, now "entitlement" comes into the picture and it has escalated above and beyond what RCI expected and which was pretty evident on the recent President's Cruise. Everyone wants to be Pinnacle because they have reached the top............it reminds me of high school where Seniors ruled!!

Cruising is a choice of vacation. The number of cruises that one does is also a choice. Cabin selection is a choice and should be all benefits should be honored.

RCI created a monster when they decided to create Pinnacle Club. And the sooner they realize it and do something about it, the better cruising will become for everyone.

  7. The suite areas are only for suite guests, not their friends and family. We are paying a very high premium for this and would not be happy if there were people in there that didn't pay the premium.

Just to clarify, but Rpyal Caribbean C&A Pinnacle Members also have access to Suite Areas. And believe me when I say that to become Pinnacle, we've paid over and above the "premium"!! lol

  8. BTW, they can do a cruise to nowhere out of a US port if they want.

I know this is a resurected thread, however the below was incorrect back then and still is now. I can't rember the exact year, but there was a reinterpretation of a policy/regulation where this is longer possible. It had to do with the crew and I think their employment status.

You are correct. Here is the link https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=1683
