  1. They had some kayaks I believe that were first come, first serve. There were also vendors set up away from the beach and you could go look at their stuff. As far as kids, if they like to swim or collect sea shells this place would be fine. You can walk way out in the water and it's not over your head. I took an inflatable air mattress with me and floated on that. I'm going to try and find my pictures from our last visit and I'll post them when I do. This is the Gulf of Mexico so the water is greenish and mostly clear. Not the crystal clear blue waters of Cozumel but pretty nice.

So the vendors had an area set up and did not approach you?

  2. If you've ever cruised with Carnival, you should have a PVP even if they haven't told you who it is. If you've never cruised with Carnival, you can call their main PVP line and ask: 800 819 3902. If you have trouble getting where you need to be, try typing in x82399 when prompted.

Good luck, and happy sailing! Sorry to hear you're getting the run-around.

How do you find out who your PCP is if you've sailed with Carnival years ago and had no idea you had one? (OP- sorry not trying to hijack your thread)

  3. I googled 'Cruise the Vineyards program' and got all the info including a list of what wines are in each level. I am planning to buy mine onboard 2nd day, as we are sailing out of Texas and I believe there's an additional tax if you buy it the first day. I plan to put my gift cards on my s&s account once we board, and charge the wine package to my account. Of course, I've never done this so I'm only telling you what I've read on the internet. And we all know if it's on the internet, it must be true! Hahaha

  4. I thought of another question, if you don't mind.

We have an aft-facing balcony on deck 7 in December. Where is that, or how far is that, from the door of the ship (perhaps it is called something more ship-y, but I mean where you get off to go onto the pier in Cozumel or Montego Bay)? Thank you again for your informative posts!!! We have decided to go to Rose Hall based on your experience. See? You are making friends and influencing people!!

  5. thank you so much for continuing to post! I'm enjoying reading it!

I am wondering how you got to Rose Hall. Did you do Carnival's tour? And I'm assuming you mean the Rose Hall Plantation House. My friend and I want to tour the plantation house and do some shopping and a beach. So I was very interested to know that there was good shopping at Rose Hall. Thanks for any other details you can give me on this!

  6. ok, thanks. coming from Galveston which is CST, will be in Cozumel on December 14, so no DST. So 7 a.m. ship time, CST, will be 8 a.m. in Cozumel, EST. Right??

Sorry, I just read the other post about this. Thanks for your help!!!

  7. we are only in Cozumel from 7 - 3. have reservations for Nachi Cocom which opens at 9. So thought to shop first since we'll need to be back on the ship by 2, but will the stores, like Los Cinco Soles, be open before 9? Their facebook page shows opening at 9. Anyone know? TIA
