We leave Paris on the 28 August/2016 in one of the Royal Suites of the Scenic Sapphire. I will make a note to provide feedback after our return.

By the way, when we were on a previous cruise on the Scenic Jade in 2014, I had a chance to view one of the Panorama suites occupied by a couple from Phoenix. You will enjoy!

This is our second cruise with SCENIC. In 2014 we were on the Scenic Jade from Amsterdam to Budapest. The ship was only a few months old. Consequently it was pristine and the whole voyage was faultless. It is not clear whether we will be on the

Scenic Sapphire or the Scenic Emerald. In either case they have been refurbished in recent years. What was your experience? In dry summers... do the Saone and Rhone rivers typically experience low waters issues to the same extent as some areas of Germany? Our cruise departs Paris on the 28 Aug. Dry season.

I am curious to know if low water levels were an issue this year. Did anyone take advantage of the cycling options? If so, could you comment on your experience. How difficult was the process of signing up in advance? Thx.

There are pickpockets in most major cities throughout the world. We travel a lot and I use a special pickpocket-proof purse that I purchased from www.PacSafe.com. I have been using it for years. I only take it on vacations. My husband uses a neck pouch, also from PacSafe. When we walk around in crowded cities, and especially around tourist sites where the pickpockets generally congregate, we feel very, very safe and don't worry about them.

This is our first river cruise. (Sept. 3 Amsterdam to Budapest on Scenic Jade). Looks like we may be facing issues with low water levels with the dry summer in Europe. We purposely chose the Jade as it has has a unique balcony feature. I would be disappointed if we ended up on another vessel. Too early to fret I must admit.

This is June 15 and you must have begun your Scenic cruise at this point. Any highlights so far? | am on a Scenic Jade on Sept.3/14. What would you recommend taking along for electrical issues. ( eg. converter, power bar) and is the Apple computer connected to the TV screen easy to use? Thx
