  1. We booked the March 3rd Conquest cruise. We did March 31st this year on Magic and there were A LOT of children.. but looking at most of the spring break times for the younger kids, it doesn't look like too many have it that early. Some colleges do but most college kids are not going to take a week long cruise for budget and time reasons.

  2. So you feel slighted that Carnival is keeping people safe by letting them stay on if they want to, when you have the option to rebook in the future (with no cancellation penalty). The cruise going out tomorrow is shortened anyway, so what's the problem? You paid initially for a 6-8 day cruise and they gave you the entire credit back.... Therefore, you should be happy that they even offered you the credit to begin with.

  3. We never have a problem with the food or service in the MDR. Never took us more than an hour - hour and 15 minutes to get our entire meals. The handmade ice cream on Lido is VERY good! Super creamy and the flavors change daily.

    Positives

    - Sky Ride! Just make sure you have closed-toe shoes, otherwise they won't let you on.. and they do check every time someone enters the line

    - Boarding was the quickest we ever had.

    - Trivia

    - Matt Mitcham (current cruise director)

    - Ship never felt crowded

    - The Dreamscapes are pretty neat

    Negatives:

    - The main theater's sight lines are horrible in the balcony, unless you're about 4 or 5 rows back. The plexi-glass is really annoying, and smaller panels than on other ships... didn't care for that too much.

    - Bingo - (We didn't play this cruise) They may have changed it since then, but Bingo was held in Ocean Plaza and there are far too many people playing than the venue can hold. :( People would literally come up to us and ask for our table beforehand and if we could hold it while they bought their bingo cards... wish they held it in the main theater or comedy club.

  4. You're paying for the "Disney experience", with the characters and atmosphere, fancy Marvel Academy and kids activities. (Which also explains why the park prices are so high). The entertainment is good and so is the food, but it's not really any better than any other cruise line, IMO. There is no casino on any of their ships, and soda is included rather than paying extra.

IMO it's not worth the extra money. It's basically an extension of the parks in that it caters more towards children, but does offer some 'adult' things.
