ESPN soccer is being shown on my ABC local. So I guess all bets are off. Enjoy the game!

Abc is broadcasting a few of the matches on weekends, this is why you are seeing a match today on your local ABC.

The USA Portugal games is only on ESPN. Only available on CCL if you are in A US port or within 3 miles of the US coast. This had been confirmed by Carnival after much confusion and misinformation of course.

CCL does not have Broadcasting rights outside the 3 miles.

I just got of the Victory and no games where shown. Very disappointed. Before I left I called carnival and they confirmed the games would be shown. You also assume the biggest sporting event in the world would be on at least in the sports bar. CCL seemed to think so too! On the ship I was told don't worry the matches will be on. Guest services also confirmed the match would be on in the sports bar. I got worried when I couldn't pick up espn in the stateroom. Near kick off the sports bar tried to get the game and couldn't. The barman was as disappointed as I was along with a dozen of so other guests waiting for the match.

I called CCL when I got home. First of all they said the games should have been on and then after I mentioned I heard about CCL not having broadcasting rights did they confirm that indeed they do not have broadcasting rights with espn outside the 3 mile us coastline.

There you have it, if it's on ABC you will be ok. On ESPN no World Cup coverage on Carnival.

RCL on the other hand is extensively covering the tournament on all their ships.

I am trying to watch the USA vs Germany Soccer game next Thursday at noon. Looks like Carnival does not have the rights to show the game in its own sportsbar. Does anyone know if maybe Senor Frogs has TV's?

Just about 2 buildings up from SF in Nassau you will find a tapas bar. Dutch flags outside ( owner is Dutch, there was orange everywhere )you can't miss it. I watched 2 games in there ( missed 2nd have of holland game and their 4 goals!!) Beer was $3 , food was good too!! Wife was in the straw market right across the straight.
