Looking forward to your review.
We'll be on her in less than 4 weeks with this same itinerary.

Thanks so much for a great review.
We are on the 6 day in 4 weeks and I LOVED all the pics and comments about the ship.

Looks like it's 7454 on the Breeze.
It is. We have this cabin booked for Sept 6. Love balconies and we are looking forward to the extended one.

Any chance the connections are good enough for a Skype call? The day we will be in GC is my daughter's birthday. Hoping to find a way to call her since I haven't missed telling her happy birthday on any of the rest of her 21 birthdays (and yes, she has reminded me of that).

But when you can get a huge 32 ounce bottle of vanilla for around $10, does anyone really care what brand it is?
Aha...now I know how much I owe you. ;)

Great start. Subscribing. We leave in 6 weeks. :D

We are cruising out of San Juan in November on Carnival. Can anyone tell me how early we can get on the ship and how early we can drop off our bags? The ship leaves port at 10 pm so I would like to drop our bags and go sightseeing.
Seems Carnival people are rare on this particular thread. We are going in September. From what I've read you can begin to drop off your bags early (10:30am-ish?) and go sightseeing. Are you flying in the day before? We went ahead and purchased the FTTF so we can board and drop our carry-ons off in the cabin and then get back off the ship if we want. I see you are Platinum, so you shouldn't have any problem getting on and dropping your stuff off if you don't want to carry it all around. I'll try to remember to check back in and report on what time we did everything.

No' date=' I stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan at 100 Brumbaugh Street last September for one night only and am staying there again for my cruise this September. While I am staying 2 nights this time, I checked the other website a couple of weeks ago and was able to book for one night only.
Good Luck![/quote']
Interesting because I just played around with booking one night and it let me at least get pricing and go to the booking screen. We are already staying two nights before our cruise but this is something that maybe they changed recently?

I agree on the bamboo sheets. They are amazing! I bought some from Cariloha (in Grand Cayman) as well and love them. I was worried about them wearing out too soon so I went to a store here in Charlotte, NC, Tuesday Morning, and found some. They are just as wonderful and under $75 for king size. So if you have one near you, check them out.
I'm in Charlotte too (well, sort of - Concord). Will have to check out Tuesday Morning for sheets.:)

Its been 2 days and I still haven't received a response. I'm wondering if that means no to the one night stay
Maybe try calling instead? It's worth a try to exhaust every possibility.

To book online they have a minimum two-night stay no matter the time of year (we're going in September). Some of our group had success booking one night by calling the hotel directly - not the Sheraton Toll Free ressie number -

This is such exciting news. We'll be in San Juan for two days precruise in September and I was disappointed they had closed. I did see the announcement last night on Yelp, but thought it was too good to be true. Maybe we'll try LaBombonera one morning and Cafe Mallorca the other morning.

Loving this review and have subscribed. I'm doing this sailing in September with PrettyHazardous and several others. Thank you so much for posting the menus. :)

Yay....
Most definitely subscribing. We are booked for our 25th Anniversary in September. 34 Weeks from today we'll be in San Juan. :D

Reading your review makes me wish Brian and I were going to be doing the Victory in October. We decided on the Valor in September for our 25th instead. I love the group that's going on the Victory and yes, you seem like you will fit right in. :) (we were with most of them on the Destiny and the Legend).
-
Very much enjoyed your review. We are doing this itinerary next September on the Valor. Loved your pics and reviews of the port. I'm hitting the Victory reviews for the ports and the Valor reviews for the ship. Should get me thoroughly excited.:p

sinna ???
Are you speaking of digital pictures on a memory card ?
Only film is affected by Xrays, not memory cards or digital images.
Sorry....inside joke for my Saint and Sinner Cruisers. It's one of those "What Happens on the Ship, Stays on the Ship".

psst I have 2-2GB and 1-4GB card.... ;)
And I agree with aplmac, you don't need it maxed out in image file size for really anything....
I agree too. Unless you are blowing them up to wall size......
We take a TON of pictures ... I have no doubt we will either need to bring all the cards we have or copy them onto the laptop. I like having them on the laptop (and even burn a copy on DVD) for backup. Some of these are once in a lifetime pics.
-
I have 2-2GB for my camera and Amy has 3, so we don't have to take the lap top to download them. We may need more for this trip.
I have 2 4GB cards for mine, but Brian's won't recognize anything bigger than a 2GB. We have several 1GB cards we will bring...and still probably the laptop to download them. Just to be on the safe side. I don't wanna be losing any good pictures when those sinna pictures go through the x-ray.:p

We're there Sunday too. Our plans are to start with a Guy's burger. We are thinking of Cucina for dinner Sunday night though.
