  1. I'm also on a cruise to Bermuda this Saturday so I'm anticipating a possible itinerary change. It's fine with me because I just need a vacation. So far we have not heard anything either so as mentioned before they will probably wait until we board to let us know.

  2. I was on the Pride sailing the week of the 15th and it was very rough. We rocked very bad and alot of people were sick. A few of the first time cruisers said they were scared to death. I did ok, I just did my best to ignore it and get in sync with the waves. I am glad to hear that we weren't the only ones experiencing this because I surely thought it was just the Pride but this reassures me it can happen on any ship.

  3. This has happened to us on both cruises but once we asked the room steward they quickly fixed it. On my most recent cruise I did notice it was much harder to track him down, so I pushed them together myself to give a hint. Then I ran into him and he apologized and said he would fix it right away. I know it can be frustrating but it's vacation so relax and have a great time...at least it's a problem that can be fixed.

  4. Thanks for that information! It definitely puts me more at ease. I'll be sailing on the Pride in a few days and I was worrying about the smoking areas since there have been so many negative comments about the smoke bothering everyone. I will miss being able to smoke on my balcony but maybe the extra steps will be beneficial and help work off the extra pounds I'm going to gain eating all that delicious food on board...and sipping all those cocktails!

  5. I don't remember getting any notices like that. Booked through PVP, but may have paid it off before they started sending them. Either way I think we can appreciate a gentle reminder that helps avoid your trip being cancelled. Also be sure the final payment date isn't the 1st of that month instead of the 3rd....Mine is due 9/1 for a November cruise.

  6. Hey, I think we're on the same cruise and that's an awesome idea! He's going to be so surprised. I always tear up during proposals. As far as where, I agree that it depends on whether you want it private or public. I've never been on Pride, but I'm sure there are some romantic spots and you could even try asking the cruise director once on board and they may be able to help you set something up. I'm so excited for you!

  7. The CHEERS package does cost quite a bit and I agree that they should not force both people in a cabin to purchase it. Since I'm booked on this 7 day cruise, I will be paying the cost for both of us and my friend really doesn't drink as much as I do. I'm doing it because on our last cruise I spent so much on drinks alone, so this time we will get our money's worth. :)

  8. I would call them to have someone look at it for you. I put one of those price protection forms in about a month ago and someone got everything all messed up with my booking, ended up being $40 higher and they acted as if they could not fix it. Now I'm just waiting for the price to really drop so I can get some OBC or something back. Good luck!

  9. I don't care if they know, want to know or share it. Once they've been paid I don't think they really care. When I booked my cruise I specifically told them I wanted the queen bed, but when we got there it was still the two singles. I let our steward know, who was the sweetest little guy and gay himself, and he quickly fixed it when we went to dinner. I guess they "assumed" since there were two men booked in that cabin the beds should be separate, but oh well it all worked out. As far as that information you read in the contract, it must have been very tiny print or I just overlooked it on my way to get a cocktail! :)

  10. I think everyone experiences the same feeling I did. I saw it posted in the Fun Times each day, so figured my partner and I should check it out one night. He's the introvert but agreed to go along with me. Our plan was to check out the scene first and determine if we would actually go in. When we got down there we found it was being held in the Alchemy Bar on Deck 5, right across from the White Heat night club, of course in one of the busiest walkways on the ship. Epic Fail! There were about four or five people in there chatting, but I wasn't about to sit there on display in front of everyone walking by. It was also held at 11pm so like many have said, that's way too late folks are already doing other things by then, and I am ready to hit the dance floor by that time. I ended up meeting way more folks in other areas of the ship (Deck 9-Lido) and had a blast! On the other hand, I don't know if anyone really cared what the folks at that bar was doing because everyone is usually rushing off to their next adventure on the ship, so maybe on my next cruise I'll stop in and check it out.
