We just flew home from there yesterday. We had a 10:20 am flight and had plenty of time to spare.
Looking at our Lyft receipt, we were off the ship and in the car by 7:25 and at MSY by 7:54.
We did use priority debarkation (carried off our luggage).
Thank you for the update. We certainly appreciate it. What time did you line up to disembark?

Hello shipmates,
Can anyone please confirm that the kids club are open. Particularly on the Breakaway. We are on the New Years cruise this year if that helps.
Also, are there any festivities on a New Years Cruise?

You can also try the Gulf Coast Departures board.
Thank you. I was headed that way.

Ask your question on the NCL board as posters there will be able to tell you their experience .
I've tried. Thank you.

Incomplete info.
There are many variables at play:
What disembarkation port? (There are some ports where carrying luggage on and off a steep gangway is ill-advised.)
What time is SCHEDULED for arrival? (You may arrive at a significantly later time.)
What are the Operational policies, practices and hours of the disembarkation port authorities?
Which cruise line/ship? (Some have specific time slots for which you sign up [with or without luggage in hand])
New Orleans-NCL Breakaway @ 7a.m Sunday January 8th
(I know we can carry off. But i was trying to get a general idea of when passengers are able to be let off.) No idea
Thank you.
What are the Operational policies, practices and hours of the disembarkation port authorities?

The last time I had just carry on luggage (its been a few years) we docked at 7am and got off around 8:15am. So long as you don't need any assistance you can ask for the earliest group.
Thank you for the info. We're you some of the first off?
-
Please help me with timing. What is the earliest you have seen guests with their own luggage leave the ship once docked and cleared?
We are to dock at 7am and hoping to be some of the first off. But looking for guidance as to how long it takes typically.
Thank you in advance.

if you carry off all of your luggage, sure. No guarantees though. There could be a delay. This is how they called them on my March Glory cruise.
7:25 – Muster stations A&B that have all of their luggage.
7:45 – Muster stations A-D with all luggage.
7:50 – Muster stations A-F with all luggage.
7:55 – Muster stations A-H with all luggage.
8:05 – All guests with all luggage
Thank you for the information. Are the times above specific to when you are to walk off the ship? Or is it the meeting time. We plan on taking our luggage.

I think it's good as long as there are no serious delays. I'd say you'd want to be off the ship by 9am to be at the airport 2 hours before your flight. I took my time in March. Ate breakfast and all that...and I was still off by 9:30. The carnival airport transfer was right there when I exited the building if that's a route you take.
Could you possibly be off earlier than that if it arrives at the port at 7am?
I have a flight at 10am and hoping we can make it to the airport in time.
-
I am wondering the same. We have one at 10am and now do not know if we will make it.

HELP!!! Some what new cruiser here.
If anyone has sailed out of this port before or NCL in general. Since we are due to arrive by 7am, how fast can we get off the ship?
I foolishly booked a flight that leaves at 10:05am and saw it can take up to two hours to be first off.
Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

The last post here is 9/27/22. Any more current info? Has anyone ever done the “ Swimming with pigs” that is offered as an “add-on?” We are going to Roatan around Xmas and I have a day planned with Rony’s. I guess that this would be an either/ or situation as one would need to take a boat to LFK. I’ll be appreciative of any info you might be able to provide. Thank You
Did you book LFK? If so, which site is the legit one?

Welcome home fellow cruiser. I'm doing research on what to do in Nassau besides tiki bar in jukano which I hear it is pretty fun and according to reviews on trip advisor it is the number one thing to do. Perhaps after I propose to my girlfriend we will do that. I did read where the queens steps is pretty lame and it is kind of a waste of time if you don't have much of it. You can see it in a couple of minutes. Perhaps y'all like to take pics, then it maybe worth your time. hope it helps some.

Check out the cloisters. Beautiful gardens and view. There usually is noone there, and it's free.
It's located on paradise island, You'll need a cab to get there (about $11 for the both of you), and you can walk back to Atlantis or comfort suites to pick up a cab to where ever you want to end up for the day

Thank you for the ideas. I'm gonna look into the cloisters since it's the most popular thing mentioned on my lonely thread :( lol thanks again for your suggestions. Happy sailing!

What hours are you in port? When are you going? Did you have any other plans for the day in Nassau? What are her interests?
A couple of ideas I had are:
Get a day pass at RIU on Paradise Island. While you're there, take a walk down the beach. All the way at the end there's a little rock jetty. It would be pretty private and has lovely views. Alternatively, walk to the Cloisters. It's a beautiful garden about a 10-minute walk from RIU. It has the remains of a French monastery that were brought over to the Bahamas. There shouldn't be too many people there either.
Get a day pass at Sandals. It wouldn't be totally private but it's geared towards couples and honeymooners so it's romantic. Sandals has a private island that is accessed by ferry. At the end of the island past the spa stuff, you might find a quiet spot with lounge chairs or hammocks. There are also some gardens at Sandals with gazebos and such.
We arive in port at 10 a.m until the next day depart at 7 a.m . So practically the whole day is available. July 4th weekend. I ask her to get a feel of what she wanted to do and her reply was to relax on the beach with a drink in hand. She's pretty easy to please and would be up for anything that I suggest within reason.
I like the jetty idea. And also the garden idea sound's romantic. I thought about a sunset sail but that wouldn't be too private.

Hello fellow critics. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to propose to my queen in Nassau. I was hoping to do it on a beach side dinner, but there are no such options that I could find. Perhaps on a beautiful beach were I can do it where there's not many people. This is our first visit to the Bahamas so i am not familiar with the island. Any and every bit of help is appreciated. Thank you in advance..

Hello all. I am curious to know if anyone has a personal experience with the cruise price watch site? I am new to this and i hear it is a great way to keep up with the prices since they notify you if they go up or down, without having to check the site every several days. Thank you for your help.
