The shuttle you refer to runs from the Amtrak Station - Santa Fe Depot - to CBX - not the cruise terminal. It is about a 4/10 mile walk from the Cruise Terminal to the Santa Fe Depot...
The shuttle is operated by https://www.mexicoach.com/home
$14
Uber is about $40

Thanks for the information. That's exactly what I was looking for.

There must be quite a few, as I understand there is a shuttle service every 2 hours. As we are heading south after the cruise, so Tijuana Airport is the best option.. I was just hoping to hear from someone who has used the service.

There are people who disembark Holland America in San Diego and want to head to Tijuana Airport.

Any recent information about shuttle service from San Diego cruise port to CBX? Getting a lot of conflicting information on Google searches. I would like to know where to catch one and is it necessary to pre book. Also, which company?
Many thanks

Is there a particular place at LAX to go and meet UBER ? We will be arriving at International Arrivals. Would we simply go out to where that taxis are, then book an Uber to pick up there ?I'd recommend getting an Uber or using Execucar--if you want the most comfortable and most efficient ride. If price is important and you don't mind a shared ride that may waste time picking up and dropping off others, Super Shuttle is fine...It's about 23 miles from LAX to Long Beach...and there are several hotels there that I would recommend...Do a search on this forum for posts I've made about Long Beach hotels. Remember, Long Beach is a BIG city in and of itself...and has both good and bad areas. There is a specific area of Long Beach that is best suited for cruisers--near the Carnival Terminal, the Queen Mary, the Aquarium of the Pacific, the free Passport shuttle bus and a lot of shops and restaurants. Don't go looking for bargains outside of this area.
Good luck...

We just got off the Crown. There were laundry rooms on either side of the Aloha deck. Each had two washers and two dryers but in the room closest to us one washer was out of order. There was a machine to buy tokens with your cruise card. I had two loads of laundry to do. The dryer took a really long time (3 tokens) so the cost of doing laundry was ridiculous! We are Elite level and could send our laundry out but you have to turn it in by 9am and don't get it back until the next day (6pm). There has to be a better way to manage dirty clothes. What am I missing?
We were on the Star in October and only needed one token for a full dryer load.

Do you get the tokens right in the laundry room?

Has anybody actually had Princess convert it ? My credit card just charged my 10.5 % over the difference in the dollar.

Hm. I just used two . I had cancelled the one I paid the initial deposit, so had to use my new one, to pay the balance. This was only last week.

Great review. Looking forward to the rest of it Thanks.

I had the same problem. I tried room service the first day. The problem is that they gave a 30 minute window and they came at the end of it. I bought a mug from the store and went up to the buffet, as soon as it opened, and filled my mug. It took me less than four minutes round trip.

There are two water taxi's. You want the one which is west of where you dock. It is next to the restaurant, La Puntaria ( spelt something like that ) After you are dropped off, it is less than a ten minute walk. The is usually a taxi waiting at the other side, if you dont feel like walking.

Yes, $10 to $11 would be about right.

60 Pesos to the lighthouse and 150 to the Golden Zone.
-
Its about a 15 minute walk west from the dock to the bus you need for the aquarium. You need the big green bus with the sign, Sabalo- Centro. That takes you through town and along the malacone. You need to ask the driver and he will let you off one block from the aquarium. The bus s 10 pesos each way.
If you have more than 4, you are better off to take a taxi.

The ship docks just a short walk from the Centro historical district. There will be a bunch of people with blue shirts along the way who are there to answer questions. They will not try to sell you anything.

Sorry, I meat to say balcony cabins.
-
Do any ships have large showers, with glass doors, in the balcony suites, or are they all small, with curtains ?
-
Do both people in the suite need to have the FCC ?

My wife and I are booked on the Oct 14 sailing, out of Vancouver, so looking forward to reading your review.
