  1. Just off the Vista and this was my 23rd Carnival cruise over the years, and will be my last. I had many issues, the food being one of them. There are no carved meats on Lido anymore for lunch or dinner, but now they offer a baked potato bar in its place . Seriously??

The fresh made sandwiches at The Deli are rather good. They will change up the listed ingredients if you ask. Hubby loves the pastrami.

  2. If they are up and zipping by the time you get there - Tree Liming Zip Lines was one of the best things we ever did. I am the biggest wus in the world but I never felt unsafe. They are so very professional. The place is beautiful - it was a mountain top estate that they bought and built for zip lining. One woman in our group screamed thru the whole thing and then said she'd do it again in a heartbeat.

  3. Have a cruise booked on the NCL Sun in March. We have a regular balcony booked. Problem is hubby uses an electric scooter. I do think we can get it thru the door - but is there any room to keep it in the cabin???

There are only 4 accessible balcony cabin and they are all booked. One week till final payment so I will keep calling to see if anyone cancels.

No one that I have spoken to at NCL - including Access Desk - can tell me if this will work or not......

Friends are going on this cruise so we would love to be able to go but don't know what to do with the scooter.

I know there is no place out of the cabin to leave it.

Any advice would really be appreciated.

  4. Not to detract from your question, but as someone with experience with Windows 8 and 10, if I were you, I'd consider options to purchase a computer with Windows 7 and avoid upgrading to Windows 10 as long as possible. I bought a new computer with Windows 8 and then upgraded it for free to Windows 10, and ended up having to roll back the Windows 10 "upgrade" to Windows 8 because most of my software encountered problems trying to work with W10. And W8 was no picnic either. I ended up buying a couple of refurbished computers just to be able to continue to operate with Windows 7. I telework so having a reliable operating system is crucial to me, and I found W8 and W10 to be very unreliable. With them, I found myself constantly trying to find a workaround to accomplish what I needed. The IT people at my work suggested avoiding W8 and W10 as long as possible. I bought 3 "refurbished" computers with Windows 7 (1 desktop and 2 laptops) just to get around the issues with W8 and 10, and have been thrilled with my purchases. I've had them for about a year and a half and have had no issues at all, which is a far cry from the issues I had with 1 computer with W8 upgraded t

    Just a suggestion.

Winddawn - brilliant thinking about how NOT to have to use windows 10. Perhaps that is why my husbands new computer, with Windows 10, is still in the box. He bought it about three weeks ago. He is still using his old ones. My old one just completely dropped dead. Geeks couldn't revive it. So I am using a new one. Love the new computer - touch screen and all -- but am learning the new system. Many things I just did automatically - now are "How the hell do I do this???" Wish we had a 14 year old kid living with us - they just know all this stuff.

Thanks to all for you feedback - Happy Sailings!

  5. Thanks so much BostonGal for your thoughts. I love aft cabins, but because it is much smaller than a regular balcony I have to give it up. Just from reading things about the two types of cabins - the aft cabin has a sofa that sleeps one person - the regular balcony cabins have sofas that sleep two people. My main concern - which I did not mention before - is that hubby takes an electric scooter. We can get it thru the door of either cabin - but there is no place to put it in the aft cabin. One of us would have to sleep on it.... I have switched to a regular balcony. All four accessible balcony cabins are taken - perhaps one will open up - I will keep checking. Cruise is in March and lots can happen between now and then. Happy cruises!

  6. As for us, we love a guarantee. Unless we are getting some other great rate we will do a guarantee. Veranda always. It's like buying a lottery ticket - looking forward to what we win. Never have been disappointed. But then we are on a cruise ship - how fortunate for us.

As to the comments that you get what no one else wants - that is not always true. If there is a cancellation, you might wind up with a very desirable cabin at a much lower cost. And - there is always a chance you'll get a higher grade than what you booked.

I hope you love whatever you get. Enjoy your cruise!

  7. I have recently started a collection of these bracelets, has any of you bought these from the western Caribbean? Curious what they looked like and what their cost is.

Sent from my iPad using Forums

Same bracelets - same prices. Perhaps one that is island specific.

I was surprised that they were the same price as if you bought directly or from Nordstroms or someplace in the US.

    Have a great cruise!
