  1. I am trying to find copies of the Breakaway's freestyle dailies for our western Carribbean cruise coming up in April. I am not sure if I am searching in the right places because all I can find are old ones that don't have the right itinerary. I am a planner and these would be so helpful to be able to research and plan our daily activities ahead of time so it won't be so overwhelming. Can anyone please help me?

    Thanks so much!

    Laura

  2. For St. Lucia and Antigua, what Merion Mom said. Spencer Ambrose is great but make sure he knows about your DH's weight. Spencer uses small power boats to get you from the dock to the beach by the Pitons. It is a great day.

In Antigua we did Eli's Original Eco Tour with them and it was a great day. The boat is a 52 foot power cat. Lots of room and a nice, smooth ride.

    ok-thanks!

  3. my DH and I will be leaving on Adventure of the Seas 4/21/18. we are both 60 and can't decide on excursions in St Lucia,St John's/Antigua or St Maarten. We like adventure, beach and snorkeling type excursions but we are limited d/t my DH weighs about 280 lbs and a lot of the catamaran excursions say they have a restriction of 250 lbs. How strict do you think they are on this? also just not sure of what some of the beaches are like. Really love those white powdery sands with crystal clear blue water. Help would be appreciated. I think there is a forum just about shore excursions but I am not sure how to find it.

  4. I am contemplating trying the NCL getaway next spring break. I love Carnival and would definitely book again for our next vacation but there isn't an itinerary on a ship with the amenities our 12 year old adventure loving, thrill seeking DD would enjoy.

So, has anyone tried NCL or sailed the Getaway specifically? What are your thoughts on freestyle cruising? It seems like a little work to plan and reserve everything. But I may like the freedom too. What about food? We will not book any specialty dining. We will book an inside cabin for 3, which i know is smaller than Carnival so that concerns me a little. We will take the bar package offered on NCL as our "perk" The price for 3 of us with the alcohol package "perk" is only $150 more than we paid this spring break for just 2 adults when adding on Carnival's cheers package, which we did purchase.

Any thoughts, advice or suggestions is welcome.

LOVED the Getaway! Food was fantastic! Sailed on her last February. We have been on 4 previous Carnival cruises, Victory,Conquest, Magic and Breeze, all of which were great. Decided to try a different cruise line for this last one and was so afraid to change since we were not sure about something different, but we were glad we did because it was a great experience! We had an aft balcony and it was very nice and we loved it. Service was great everywhere. The specialty dining was awesome!

  5. My husband and I will be sailing on our 1st NCL cruise next month. We were wanting to know if any of you have any personal experiences/recommendations on any of the excursions to see the BEST snorkeling/beaches in these ports? I have read all of the links on these ports , but was wanting to ask all YOUR experiences. Should we book through NCL or directly with excursion operators? Thank you ALL so much for your help! :):)

  6. my husband and I will be cruising our first NCL cruise on 2/19/17-2/26/17 and wanting to ask about anybody's personal experiences at any of the ports we will be visiting, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Roatan? I have looked at the given links about each port but we were wanting to get some recommendations and opinions on the most fun and best snorkeling and beach excursions.looking for best ideas and bargains. Book though cruise ship or directly with excursion operators?

  7. Just a couple of quick questions asking about the aft balcony rooms. Is the balcony very big and how was the view? I believe we will be on the 13th floor-how was the noise level from these rooms? have never cruised on NCL, only 3 Carnival cruises in the past and am very excited to try out a different cruise line. Any recommendations to do or not to do? :) Will be on the 7 day leaving from Miami on 2/19/17-Getaway!

  8. thank you so much for your post. we are like you-we have only been on carnival-3 cruises. we decided to try a different cruise line this time and will be sailing this ship in february. your post was very informative and helpful and appreciated. we can't wait to sail on ncl now!
