  1. I added the *****-D E-M1 with 12-40 mm Pro zoom lens to my Olympus E5 system. Until the 40-150 mm lens arrives, I am using a Lumix 35-100 mm for telephoto needs. The new mirror-less system is significantly lighter in weight than the E5 with a similar lens. With my E-M1, I purchased an adapter that allows me to use my E5 lenses on my new camera.

With two additional micro prime lenses (1.8), 25 and 60 mm, I am able to take great portraits as well very low light images.

The quality of images from the EM-1 still amazes me and the touch screen allows quick changes without digging through a myriad of menus.

I am a happy camper with a lightweight camera for cruising.

I find that the 14mm / 150mm for nice sunny days is a great lens. I have there 12/40 pro lens and it is great to but for all around the reach of the 14/ 150 is great and stays on the camera alot. I am just breaking the surface of things that this camera can do but woow Great pictures and very fast. Most would not try it but on a cruise try pictures of flying fish. its alot of fun and in my book better that baking in the sun on sea days...

  2. Planning to sail Mid-August on RCCL Freedom of the Seas. Going to Haiti, Jamacia, Grand Cayman, & Cozumel. I am looking for suggestions for a new diver (finishing certification now). My husband loves to snorkel, but not a diver.

What places would be on your "bucket list"? Can you dive & snorkel together? Who/what operators would you use?

    Looking for ideas.

We went to Grand Cayman Stingray City ... Its a must!! and there is a great reef there a few hundred feet away. We did excursion and just snorkel for us but at the sand bar you can stand and feed the rays very very cool and great for taking underwater pictures.
