I am still debating on the one with Orient and the one without. We will have 2 teens with us - topless is fine, full on nudity not so much. I just want to make sure we will have time to enjoy Maho. I tried booking on his site but didn't pay the deposit part, just asked questions on the form page. Haven't heart anything. Do I need to pay the deposit to get a response?
We just got back from 10 days on the island. We too tried to reach Bernards Tours and it took 3 days for them to get back to us. For us it was to late as we were already there. We found that we could actually hire a taxi to give us a tour. Great guide..maybe not as indepth in the history department but sure hit all the major sites.

I can confirm this now....just got back from 10 days there.
Most larger planes arrive between 1-2pm and depart between 3-5pm.
Canadian airlines seem to arrive on Saturdays and Sundays...We saw KLM, Delta and American Airlines during the week. If you go don't drive there. Parking is a nightmare. Take a bus or a taxi.
Most taxi drivers will come back and get you if you pre-arrange a time with them.

Looks like between 1pm and 3pm.

Just returned from this tour and had a great time! We had the "Mailman" as we had requested and he was a great tour guide/driver. The time at Orient was nice, got to relax and have a couple of free drinks in nice comfy loungers w/umbrella for $10 for 2 of us. Got to eat lunch at Sarafina's and have some pastries, which all were fresh and very tasty. Walked through the market area for a short period of time and picked up a couple of souvenirs (haggled on prices because they vary greatly). This was probably the most rushed part of the day. Then we headed to Maho Beach to see planes and saw several actually land and take-off while we were there. Very crowded at the Sunset Beach Bar area around lunch time and very small beach area. Basically just stopped to see the planes. This is probably the one place I won't return again (been there twice now). No tour is going to be 100% for everyone that takes it, everyone has there own likes and dislikes, however I think they provide a very efficient and fun tour that is exactly as described.
Thanks for the info! Very helpful. Which one did you take (or was it a private tour)?

We'll be there next week...will let you know.

Had the same problem-ordered them twice online and then called. They told me that sometimes the system doesn't register so she placed the order and a week later I had tags!

Thanks! Can't hurt to check it out.

Would you please tell us how and what the advantages are to booking your next cruise while onboard

We've stayed in 6588 a number of times and it is directly across from the laundry. If you can deal with the noise (some people speak/laugh a little too loudly sometimes late into the evening) and the heat from the dryers in the hallway it's a great location.

Our vote is for Insight Vacations. We've never had a bad bus tour and have booked another for this summer.

We're there too!

Not to steal your discussion but we are about to sail on our first Celebrity cruise.
Can you tell me the rules and perks for an on board booking of a future cruise?

Hi MOM-RULES,
Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Celebrity Board
No doubt, GYPSYLADY is talking about the Caribbean Charters that Celebrity is running out of select Cdn Cities in Ontario, Quebec & The Maritimes for this winter... E-Ports being Fort Lauderdale or Miami (ships = Silhouette & Reflection)
They are AI Pkgs that include airfare, hotels, all transfers & the cruise... Ads have been running in Cdn Newspapers that also serve as the hub (ie London, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal & Halifax)... Check the Weekly Travel Section... Ads have been 1/2 or Full Page & in Colour.
Hope this helps,
Cheers!
Thanks for the welcome and the information!

Thank to all of you for the information and cautionary tales. My card will be embedded with the information as I have the AI package offered to select Canadian cities.
Nice! Where do you find deals like this? (as you can see I'm very new here)
