  1. Scratching my head, but do not remember any bloody scenes. So possibly they had been removed when we saw the show.

Frank---we also enjoyed Fiera and Bravo. Need more shows like these. We are approaching our 80th Princess cruise, so have seen them all many times. So really enjoy a new show.

  2. Thanks Phyl ad Jim... It has been a long time, but I believe we sailed with you on a shortie on the Ruby a few years ago.

Maybe we will give our TA a call, and see if there is anything they are willing or able to throw our way.

We are really looking forward to Alaska!

Kathleen, I believe we sailed with you last fall on the Royal. ???? Spent a bit of time with you. Hope Carlos is doing well.

  3. Darn!

    I shouldn't have looked !

We are in a nice OV... so for this category, $600.00 would be a significant difference.

We are past final payment, so I guess there is no way for us to benefit.

We thought about canceling and holding off, as this might happen... but I didn't feel comfortable hanging in limbo until this close.

Hi! Call your TA and ask. The worst that can happen is they say no. Sometimes you can get a good upgrade. Who knows.

We are going in September. Looking forward to it.

  4. Thanks for posting your experiences Phyllis...say hello to Jim! :)

    Will do Frank., just did.

We were exceptionally disappointed as the Christmas/New Years cruise was our 75th cruise. We had been looking forward to Breakfast in Sabatini's. Breakfast was in the Crown Grill, did not make any vibes for us, so we just skipped it.

    Say hi to Helena.

  5. We are also very happy they did not put Share on the Coral.:D:D we will be sailing on her for 4 cruises later this year. And will be on the Regal for 30+ days over the holidays. Were on the Emerald for 4 cruises over the holidays, last, and got to see Share, would need dark glasses to spend any time in there. Only heard one good report from people on our cruises. And that was from the Captain, at the MTP luncheon, he had his family on board and they ate there. But of the regular passengers we talked to, they all gave it a thumbs down.

Hope they stop thinking about expanding to all the ships.

  6. It is confirmed that the Crown Grill will be used for Suite Breakfasts and the menu is the same.

I think what Phyjim said was that the atmosphere is not the same. Sabatini's restaurant is more light and airy looking, more appropriate for breakfast while the Crown Grill decor/colors seems odd for a breakfast environment, at least in my opinion.

Thank you Coral. That was our opinion exactly. Had we been in the Crown Grill for breakfast would probably have thought we should order a bottle of wine to accompany the meal.

  7. We enjoyed our 50th cruise on the Emerald several years ago. Enjoyed all the perks, but were not offered breakfast in Sabatini's. Our 75th cruise occurred again on the Emerald. :( Did not plan well. Sabatini's was replaced by Share.:(:( We could have had breakfast in the Crown Grill. Great place for dinner, love it. But did not appeal to us for breakfast. So we skipped it. Our choice. We were asked why we were not there for breakfast, answer it is not Sabatini's.

When it comes time for our 100th, we will be sure to pick a ship that has Sabatini's.

  8. Was on the Emerald for a spring transatlantic, and had no complaints about the wall hung hair drier. My hair is short, but very thick. It dried and styled fine. no complaints from me. And will be boarding the Emerald the 15th of Dec for 31 days over the holidays, planning on using the Princess furnished driers.

  9. I'm wondering what will happen to Kory Simon. I wonder if he will be the alternate piano player so still on the royal or if he is moving on. We really enjoyed him.

Liz, Kory Simon was just starting on the Emerald when we disembarked on 16 May. Was going to be on for just a few weeks, off, then back for a longer period. Strange schedule I know.

  10. The Wife & I are on a 7 day Western Caribbean departing Houston on 4/5/2015. Monday (3/23) we received a FREE upgrade from a Mini-Suite to a Penthouse Suite. I had noticed a couple days earlier that the only category that was sold-out on our cruise was the Mini-Suites, so I'm sure that's why.

Now we're just trying to find out all of the Suite benefits.

Lucky you!! ;) We will be on the same cruise, (see you there), and we just got the upsell call, mini to suite, said no thanks. They wanted $349/each. Too much we thought. Told our TA free upgrade, yes, or 199/ we would take it. We are on a B2B, and even Princess makes it easy we do not like to move.

You will enjoy the suite, they do spoil you.

  11. To the OP, hope you enjoy the Star as much as we have. We have enjoyed 13+ cruises on her. Many transatlantics, two wonderful trips down to the Antarctic:D, brought us home from Sydney Australia, round trip from LA to the south Pacific. St Petersburg....She definitely is one of our favorites. We always felt the Star had one of the happiest friendliest crews in the fleet!

  12. Hi Phyllis! You guys are moving right along. Cruise on! We'll probably hit 75 this year too, and gave some thought to the length of that cruise, but decided to just take it as it happens, whatever its length. Might even be on the florist-lacking Pacific Princess. ;)

Looked like you two got hooked on the small ships. Enjoyed reading your blog while in the South Pacific. Many memories. ;)

We need to look at what cruise our 75th will fall on.....we are booked on the Emerald again for the holidays!

  13. There's no Sabatini's for breakfast on your 50th cruise any longer....only at 75 and 100. QUOTE]

When did they change that? We enjoyed breakfast in Sabatini's when we sailed on our 50th cruise! That was a holiday cruise in 2013. Now we are looking forward to breakfast in Sabatini's which should occur before the end of this year.;)

  14. Perhaps we can enjoy that drink together!I know exactly which one you booked...I looked at that one and then the Owners Suite which was $3799pp,20 nights unbelievable.

    Congratulations and enjoy your cruise.

Tom, we are buying! :D what a deal! Thank you again. What a super deal. Look forward to meeting you and buying the drinks.
