I guess I'm a bit crude at times in my sense of humor and the idea you'll find someone everyone likes well...good luck. I remember Big Sexy mainly because he was a huge History buff like me and like 4-5 times he did big history lectures which I'm sure a lot would find boring. I guess I expect Carnival to us a bit more edgy CDs as they are know to be the PARTY SHIP.

I'm so weird, I loved donkey and he actually got me to want to keep cruising. I'm 56 so not old or young I guess and Retired Military and while like a lot I could not name many cruise directors except ones that annoy me with one being the one that always finishes with I love you. I'm sure it was partially the Carnival Horizon also as I never had to listen about silly Art shows and auctions. See my wife and I really didn't care much for Sea days since we don't Drink or play trivia or even care much for Bingo or Gambling...doesn't leave a lot. We were on the cruise with Donkey in October 2021 and he got us to want to go to the morning shows and a few other events although didn't really see him around the ship a lot. The only other CD I like or remember was Big Sexy who isn't a CD anymore.
I guess like some here they wouldn't ruin my trip but FOR ME Donkey was great. apparently he has a following as a huge group had Donkey T shirts made up.

While I know the topic is old I am now curious as to how the cruise went?

There are 2 ways, only go by boat though. There’s a small opening for your snorkel but you go under a little but it’s real quick. The boat was fun and the beaches he stopped at after we’re great and calm.

If you like to Snorkel one place you will not see hardly any cruise people is the Blue Room. a good few you tube videos on it. we went by boat through https://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/curacao/beach-hopping-blue-room-cave-snorkel.html and it is one of the very best excursions I've been on in the Caribbean except maybe Little French Key in Roatan.

Sorry in advance as I have not been to those beaches but have an additional idea for you. We were there less than a year ago and wen to the Blue room (by water) and it is crazy cool if your into snorkeling. But you swim under a small an opening and end up in this Cobalt Blue room and tons of fish. We used this service: https://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/curacao/beach-hopping-blue-room-cave-snorkel.html We are actually headed back next week due to an itinerary change because of the hurricanes and can't wait to do this again.

Just got back from our Western Caribbean cruise on the Norwegian Escape and loved our time at Little French Key.
LFK now has a port pass at the Port of Roatan - Coxen Hole. We met Larry just feet off the gangway of the Norwegian Escape! No walking out of the Port to meet them!
That's great to hear. Wasn't a huge deal but less vendors the better.

It is done directly from LFK site. Best way to do it then they pay for transportation.

Little French key has a snorkeling package and they do take you out by boat. I had fun on it and really enjoyed it.

My favorite place in the Caribbean. Book directly with LFK, they will transport you there and back. All you need is the basic package although they have added a couple changes since I was there last year. Noticed the prices went up $30 to, we did Rony's a couple weeks ago and had Daniel. Wife wanted to see more of raoatan since we'd been to LFK 3 times.
We also utilized Pack for a purpose and took over some much need item for the local people.
Have a blast and it won't be to crowded with one ship.
Btw, IF you wanted to see the Sloth and Monkey hangout it's right next to the ferry to LFK and only takes about 30-45 minutes to go through.

We did the Getaway and were shocked as our four kids up to 15 loved the splash academy. We are booked on the Escape next october. Personally, they're the same ship but the best itineraries the Getaway, in Roatan look up Little French key on you tube it's crazy beautiful there. Private island looks great to. We did playa Mia in Cozumel but kids complained about the big floating wipe out course because the make you keep big bulky life vest on and hard to do anything. But they loved the rest if it. Playa Mia is cheaper right off the ship to.

Which cruise line? We've been carnival and NCL and main dining room is nice just busier. On those to lines your not obligated to go to the dining room.my wife did a spa once and they're a bit of a sales crew as they try to sell you during the cruise. Best bet is your excursions stops will have much much cheaper massages.
As for celebration packages I can't call moment as I've only done a birthday for a kid.
If by chance your headed to Curacao you should find someone to take you to the Blue Room as it was Amazing. Aruba is great but snorkeling there is just ok. I would do the Trike bikes in Aruba.
Congrats and good times.

Don't mean to sway you really one way or the other but in St. Thomas we decided to let our 4 go on the snorkeling excursion and let me tell you how scared Dad here was. I was good till they all jumed in the water and then I found myself trying to keep track of them. My wife took the youngest (10) with her and followed the group and left me with 3 and then next thing you know I coouldn't find my 14 yo Daughter and after a minuter she was back up on the boat laughing at me. Scariest day of my life I think.
With 2 kids you can keep better control of them so get them used to it and have a great cruise.

They have added it as one of their excursions, shouldnt it be open if they are offering it? We sail in one week and would like to do this.

Because we don't want to use credit cards or debit cards.

Chase Liquid is a Prepaid from Chase Bank with your name Embossed and it is even able to be maintained on Mobile devices and transfers easily money from your normal Chase acct. if you have one. Remember some of us really hate the american dream of credit cards and prefer to live without as much as possible.
With the liquid it saves from the horror stories you see on here about how the persons money was gone after they had gotten back from the cruise. I prefer not to carry that much cash and definitely don't want to use my Debit card.
Cruise Director - Horizon....Donkey was a disappointment

I was on this cruise also, I told Captain Stubing about this personally and he ensured me she would be talked to about it all so they didn't end up being known as "The LoveBoat" or something.
