Wondering if you stayed in this cabin on your cruise. My wife and I are in 14055 and my son and his wife are in 14040 on an upcoming cruise and were wondering about this location. I thought the location was pretty good due to convenience to stairways, buffet, and pools. Any feedback or pictures avaiable?

Hi! Out of curiosity, what tour guide and company did you use and on what day of the week were you in Havana? We will be there on Monday the 17th of June and are using Havana Memories with Roly as our guide and photographer. I am just wondering if the day of the week that the ship is in port has anything to do with the ease of debarkation. Also, were there any other cruise ships in port at the same time as yours?

My cruise is in 23 days and we still haven't been assigned. I have received two offers to bid for an upgrade with the Royal Up program but the whole point of this cruise was something affordable to take my daughter on for her graduation. We got our documentation but there is no deck number of room number, just a box to mark them in when we receive them.

Thank you very much for the response! I always wonder about ships and destinations that I haven't experienced yet! We are really looking forward to this cruise. I am quite excited about the ship because I think it has character being older and I always feel like, no matter what, a day on a cruise (any cruise) beats a day at the office hands down! I am super psyched to visit Cuba as well! Everything I have read talks about it being a little like stepping back in time! Thanks to everyone for all of the information!

Hi! We are booked for a similar cruise in June but only a 4 day. The excursion plan you did sounds exactly like what I was thinking of doing! Although, I am looking at Havana Memories for the day tour due to the good Trip Advisor rating and the offer to include professional photos for a small, additional fee. The questions I have would be 1) Having been on Jewel OTS, Adventure OTS and Enchantment OTS, I am anticipating a more laid back atmosphere on the ship than most of the larger vessels. I noticed this with Enchantment and our most recent Jewel cruise. Did you get that feeling from Majesty? 2) How was the flow of the ship as far as lines in the Windjammer and crowds on the pool decks? 3) Was the MDR as good as I have heard? The last cruise we did (on Jewel) we felt the MDR was a bit of a letdown from previous cruises. The service was (as always) excellent but the quality of the food was lacking IMO. 4) What did you think of the Jazz club in Havana and all of Cuba in general? I have been curious about Cuba for a long time and am hoping there is no change in our itinerary based on recent announcements. and 5) What did you think of the Majesty overall? Would you cruise on her again? Thanks!

Just curious as I am booked GTY Inside Stateroom on Majesty OTS for a Cuba sailing in June. I have not received my room assignment yet. If RCCL assigns the room prior to sailing and informs me of the room number and etc., is that subject to change up until sailing or is that a final assignment once they give it to me? I was just wondering if anyone has ever encountered a re-assignment after receiving their GTY cabin!

I am booked on Majesty for June 15 and that does not show up in the app yet. It cuts off at June 10 when I look at the Majesty sailings. Is it due to the amount of time before sailing? I get the same "We hit a snag" notification when I try to use my reservation number. I booked directly through Royal Caribbean.

To add to what Bill said about the meet & mingle, I never did receive the notice so I went to guest services and they called the group people and they said to just show up-so I did and there were no problems. My addition to St. Croix...I had decided to make it a beach day and we headed to Sandcastle, a small hotel with it’s own beach. The shuttle from Fredericksted was $6 per person and the day pass was $10 per person. For $32 we got a nice day at a really nice beach.

I think I met you at Guest Services when you were asking about the Meet & Mingle! I was actually handling another crisis (caused by our Travel Agent - Yikes!) and completely forgot to ask about the M&M invite! I was disappointed because I wanted to meet all of the nice folks I've been talking to! I did run into Eddie in the Windjammer and he invited me and one of the people I was traveling with up to see the Owner's Suite! I think my friend Rick went, but I had to meet another person from our group so I never did get to see it!

I'm kind of a ship nut so I try to pick up the All Access Tour whenever I can. I think I've been on either 4 or 5 and I'm booking one on Anthem in June of '16. We are D+ so we get offered the 'free' tours, but they are only a small slice of what you see on the All Access Tour.

 

The tours are 'conducted' by a member of the Cruise Director's staff, but that person just escorts the tour folks around. The actual 'presenter' is someone (usually a junior officer but sometimes someone more senior) who is directly responsible for or involved in the particular area you might be viewing.

 

Two precautions: 1)Typically the All Access Tour won't run unless a minimum number of people sign up. That number has been between 10 and 15 - I've had one case where I signed up but the minimum wasn't reached and my money was refunded. 2)As mentioned by others, the usual duration is on the order of 3-4 hours. You are walking, going up and down stairs, and standing for almost the entire time. Make sure you are up to it.

I am scheduled to sail on the Adventure OS in a couple of weeks and have been thinking about this tour! Have you ever done the tour on the Adventure and was it worth it?

I'm getting ready to enjoy that balcony on Adventure in about a week :D

Are the balconies on Deck 8 similar? This class of ship's balconies are different than the Radiance Class we were on before. They seem less open.
