  1. This is our favorite ship. We sailed on her when she came over from the east coast to the west coast through the canal. We have done Hawaii and Mexico on her. We have the Journeys Alaska booked B2B with the Mexico after and we are also booked on the trip back to the east coast in January. We don't like Guy's, and prefer the hamburgers on Miracle. We love the size and that it is easy to get around. Also, look into the 4K staterooms. We had them on our last 2 cruises on Miracle, paid for an interior and had french doors we really enjoyed.

  2. What would be the rationale for not having it for a Journeys cruise? Just curious...

This seems to have changed recently. Carnival site now says FTTF won't be offered on Journey's cruises. I believe it is because some of the perks such as early luggage and early room availability. Journey's cruises tend to have a LOT of Diamonds/Platinums. I think it is just too much to try to get all those rooms ready early and all the luggage to the rooms early. I am guessing, no fact to my answer as to why.

  3. DH and I went to GS for a discrepancy on our bill. The regular line was 15 people deep (yes I counted) and the FTTF/Priority line had 3 people ahead of us. I told my DH to stand in the regular line and I would stand in the FTTF/Priority line and we would see who got helped the fastest. There were only 2 employees working the desk and one was on the phone the whole time. The other, working the desk, would only help the FTTF/Priority line about every 4th or 5th time. DH was helped before I was, though I was next in the FTTF line. Nice perks! lol

  4. We went to leave our stateroom one night and a man was outside the cabin next door screaming at the room steward. He was so mad he was shaking. I heard him say that not having the balcony divider open was ruining his cruise. I assumed he had family on the other side of him. Later that day when we were back in the stateroom, the steward knocked on our door and asked if we wanted the divder open between our balcony and the man next door. We explained we did not know the man. The steward said he was aware of that but that the man would not stop complaining so he thought he would ask. The man was traveling with just his wife, in the same stateroom.

  5. We stayed in the same room on the other side of the ship. Room 4141. View was rather like a tunnel. It was nice to be able to open the doors and get air. We were on a B2B and for the second leg had to switch next door to 4139. Lifeboat directely in front of window. The first room the view was a little better, but you still can't see much. We enjoyed the room but probably won't do a 4K again, especially if we will be on the ship for 3 weeks again.

  6. Just want to say "hi". We will be on the Miracle cruise with you. We were on the Miracle when she came through the canal a few years ago but we had a regular balcony so can't comment on the ones you are mentioning. We had a 4K between lifeboats on our last Miracle cruise. Hope to see you on the ship!

I tried picking my time to check in and have no clue. Do you have to pay in full before you can pick your check in time? I only put deposit so far. Thanks. We going in October.

We have picked check in times way before final payment. Go to on line check in and on the far left their is the option. On my cruise for January it is not there yet but am expecting it to come up in the next few weeks.

  8. On our last cruise, the steward was on his last cruise, ever. He was retiring and we were so happy for him. Super nice guy, and the room was always spotless. He told us that they used to have 15 rooms assigned to them and they had a helper. Now he had 32 rooms assigned to him and NO helper. He said it was very sad because the guest suffered (and of course so did he). He was so happy to be getting out after 31 years with Carnival. We were doing a B2B for a total of 21 days. On the turnaround day, we had to change rooms. They simply didn't have enough staff to help like I've always read about. We moved all of our stuff by ourselves. Not complaining, just pointing out that the cut in staffing is getting very noticeable.

  9. We had 1 balcony door that was hard to open and for whatever reason seemed very heavy. I have noticed though that it seems sometimes door slam shut b/c people have their balcony doors open and try to open/shut their cabin doors, which can create quite the suction and slam. We learned that the hard way on our 1st cruise.

As far as inconsiderate, that seems to follow a lot of people these days. I notice there are people that leave the balcony lights on all hours of the night ... TV's blaring loudly in the wee hours ... letting their kids run/yell up & down the hallways (one reason why I like spa suites, much quieter) ... we even had some woman singing choir hymns on the balcony every morning at 7:00 AM on our last cruise. The singing wouldn't have been that bad, if she could sing - but the thought that your neighbors are on vacation and probably don't want to hear that (or anything else) @ 7:00 AM - is just downright TACKY.

Sorry ... rant over. Annoying people suck. ;p

This made me laugh, I know it wasn't funny at the time! We had a family that had staterooms on either side of us. Junior (49 year old male) on one side, and "Ma and Pa" on the other. They would stand out on their balconies and lean out and shout past our balcony to each other. LONG conversations. Junior would go out their and yell, "Ma....Ma.....Maaa.....MAAAAAAA!!!! Then she would finally come out and yell obscenities at him. So obnoxious!!!

  10. Just to be clear: The HUB app is only for on-board the ship. You can't use it to communicate back home. You also do not have to buy any internet package to use HUB. You can use most of it for free but if you want to chat with someone on the ship through hub, you both must enable chat by paying a 5 dollar one-time fee. That's good for the whole cruise.

Forgive me if that's not what you meant to imply - I just wanted OP to be sure they can't use HUB for off-ship communication.

Thanks for clarifying, no thats not what I meant to imply. I was just saying you can download the app, and in fact it is probably easier to, before getting on the ship, so that when you get on the ship you just have to log in. My husband was trying to download the app when he was already on board and it was difficult to get a good enough signal to download the app.
