Just back from cruise to Bahamas on the Gem. I have to admit it was a CAS cruise so I only paid port fees and taxes still over $300. I was very disappointed in the work going on in the Blue Lagoon very loud at times. They were also replacing the rug on the stairways and also in the hallway in front of our room which was pretty much all day affair. I was stepping over padding and rugs and workers. If I had paid full price I definitely would have complained but I guess I got what I paid for. The whole cruise seemed more like a camping trip.

My daughter and I are cruising on the Gem Nov. 15. We have been trying to find the best way to get from Newark airport to the Manhattan cruise port. We are considering using UberX. Has anyone done this and how did it go? Our flight home leaves at noon so has to be really reliable.
Thanks

Hello,
Sailing on the Norwegian Gem this November and got assigned to cabin #4501
It doesn't look like there is any cabins on the opposite side (across the hall). Is anyone familiar with this deck?
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone
Never posted before but so please bare with me.
Got an offer from Norwegian (Casino's at Sea) for a cruise and a slot tournament. Has anyone else ever gotten one of these?
I'm a little concerned leaving out of NY in November and they only offer two sailings both in November.
Has anyone done this before and if so how was it?
Thanks for reading

I can't really tell you how big the room was but we were pleasantly surprised. For an inside cabin it was roomy.
For the bad news I would never book 4th floor again. We had rough weather going out in Nov. leaving from NY. Water was very High covering and crashing into out porthole window like a washing machine effect. On 4th floor you can hear every wave crash against the ship. Once in warmer waters I recovered but would not do that again. I would definitely choose a much higher floor.
I do hope you have a great time enjoy your cruise no matter what floor you choose
