I stopped at a local brewery in Ísafjörður last year. It was called DOKKAN BRUGGHUS Westfjords Local Brewery. It's a small place with indoor and outdoor seating.

I'm glad I'm not alone with that. I wish I knew what Una was up to, I feel she was on the same track as she was very personable, energetic and had fun doing her job. She was on the Bliss (as was Rod, still there 6 months after I first met him) for my Fall cruise in 2019...
I was just told by someone who should know that Rod was promoted to Cruise Director on the Getaway. Great news.

Rod is a great guy. He deserves to be CD some day soon.

FWIW, this is what I was told on my last cruise in November. By the way, the Cruise Next staff were very helpful, even though I did not book a cruise or buy any Cruise Next certs.
I had the manager look up a few cruises for me. I asked him , if I booked a cruise, who would I call to ask questions or make changes. He said the booking credit goes back to how you booked the current cruise. If you used a local travel agent or NCL PCC, they get the booking.

I actually like both options. I enjoy the Breakaway/Plus ships for the variety of things to do. I just got off of the Star (July 25) and found many quieter places to go. So if it's quieter areas you like, go with Star or Gem. Both have pros and cons. If I had to choose, as a solo cruiser, I prefer the larger ships because of the Studio cabin option and more entertainment variety.

Yesterday I booked the VIVA for the inaugural sailing June 15 -24, Lisbon to Rome, 9-days. VIVA will be the 6th inaugural cruise for me out of 12 cruises. I kind of like to sail the new ships.

I was on the inaugural sailings for the Getaway, the Escape and the Bliss. I couldn't agree more about the readiness of the ship and the outstanding crew. Really looking forward to this crossing as well.
