  1. I pre pay everything! I usually only depart with a small balance of on board expenses, like lattes from the coffee shop, candy from the candy shop, and a few things from the fun shops....and now that the cheers program includes those lattes, I'll have an even smaller balance [emoji2]

  2. My PVP is amazing! He gave me his personal cell phone, we communicate via Facebook....not once has he called me on a price drop, and I'd never expect him too! It's impossible for him to sit there everyday and find price drops for all of his clients! I check for price drops twice a day and either email him or send him a text and not long after I get a revised confirmation! He and his wife recently had their 1st child, I messaged him asking for a room change and he immediately called me and said he was at the hospital but to contact the PVP that was covering him and it would be taken care of, the next morning he called to make sure everything was changed and ok!

  3. yes, you can snorkel from the beach. you literally walk out, and start swimming, and there's coral and fish to see immediately... you swim out a little further to the 'deadman's reef', and that's where it really takes off! it's not very far (16 year olds should be able to do this with no problem), and there's deeper water with coral reefs, fish of all types, sting rays, etc.

here's a picture that kind of illustrates what i mean:

see the reef right off shore?

they do have more stuff to rent - they also have paddle boats, 'sub trek' snuba type equipment, etc. look at their web site for more:

    there are even videos there...

that said, i think you'd be perfectly fine signing up for kayaking, then using your own gear to snorkel. sure there's more to rent, but you'll still have a great time IMO if you pick one or the other, or in your case both for the same price.

    Thanks!!!

  4. yes, i think they'd love it. as noted, you can swim right from the beach and be snorkeling in no time. if snorkeling's not their thing (though i don't know any 16 year olds that wouldn't enjoy that!) then they can kayak. paradise cove has appealed to everyone in our group(s) from toddlers to seniors.

Can you snorkel from the beach? We all have our own gear, so I'm assuming they'd rather do kayak and snorkel from the beach...is there anything else to rent?

  5. We tried on the valor in March, we purchased the internet package and tried like crazy! We went to customer service and they told us, the wifi was not strong enough for facetime!! They refunded the package and when we got to port we ran to the nearest bar that had wifi and wasn't open, so it wasn't busy and facetimed our children...on the paradise last year we called from the room phone every other day, made sure all was well and went about our cruise :)
