  1. We enjoyed the beach beds - twice.  It is very quiet in that area.  We had them before the construction, so I do not know if they are in the same area.  They provide nice shade.  I would recommend bringing the towel clips as they are helpful to keep the side curtains closed for shade.

Debarkation Day back in Cape Liberty was easy.. breakfast was the normal breakfast menu plus two special entrees selection. One was a filet and egg and the other one was a crab cake benedict. Once you are done with breakfast, a host will escort you off the ship. In the port, the luggages are kept next to the suite luggage by the entrance to customs.

Does this mean that you do not need to find a porter to help with the luggage?

  4. We are sailing in Aqua class on the Equinox on the 28th of July. I have been following menus on the Celebrity App. We sailed in a regular cabin last summer and I loved the food in the MDR and we got our Aqua cabin for an amazing price this summer. Anyway I do not eat pork, tuna, lamb or duck. And I only eat most fish in moderation. I also have to limit my corn intake. I am noticing a very limited selection of food I will am able to eat , or choose to eat. I typically live off of chicken and beef at home with the occasional seafood or salmon and a pasta dish. However I am seeing that the chicken and salmon dishes are all roasted and not the kind of flavored dishes I am used to, and the steak appears to be the very basic steak. Worried I am going to be disappointed by blu and end up eating in the buffet the whole trip. I usually get a cesar salad, shrimp cocktail and a seafood or beef/chicken entree every night and use pasta with marinara as a backup. I have to be very careful about what I eat due to a chronic pain condition, I unfortunately have a lot of food triggers which will cause pain flares. Should I be worried about food? I have cruised successfully many times on many lines and this is the first time I am worried.

You will be relieved to have the team in Blu on your side. I traveled with my mom a couple of weeks ago. They will literally make whatever you need. I too have a chronic pain condition and have to avoid many things. I felt great all trip! My Mom eats GF, and no raw veggies, fruits, nuts etc. She too did great! They will provide you with the menu for the next day to choose from as well as the menu for the next day from the main dining room.

  5. I don't have Celiac but I am 100% gluten free. We sailed on the Summit last year and it was easy. They took care of me extremely well. We did eat all breakfast and dinner in Blu every night. I would be interested in anyone's (Gluten free experience) in Qsine,as well. We sailing soon and would be consider trying it.

We are gluten free as well and will be eating in Blu. Did they have any GF pancakes for breakfast? What were some of your favorite GF options?

  6. Hi - coming to Bermuda in late May for 3 days on the Summit. My mom is 80 and gets around slow, but OK. Can't step down in to a boat from a dock etc. We are doing an island tour on the middle day. What would be best ideas for Wed and Friday? Thanks.

  7. Hi all - when on RCI we purchased the non alcohol package and enjoyed it - mostly to get good coffee, bottled water, fresh squeezed OJ and brewed iced tea. I read recently that the coffee on Celebrity the coffee is actually brewed and is good, and I also saw fresh squeezed OJ on a menu. Could someone please share their thoughts on this? $44/day for the two of us. Thank you.

  8. I cannot speak for other sailings, but I will be the rabbi on the Dec. 4 sailing of Serenade. This cruise includes the first three nights of Chanukah, I will be leading Shabbat eve and Chanukah services. I do not know what other provisions will be made for the celebration,

    Nice!!

I just saw a photo of the decorations that are now up on the Anthem and there is a menorah! Countdown to boarding is getting close!

  9. I recommend Clorox Commercial Solutions hand sanitizing spray. You can get it on Amazon and it is one of the few hand sanitizers that does kill norovirus. I carry it with me and we all spray our hands right before eating (after we've ordered/touched menus) and also each time we return to the room. I think this, along with frequent hand washing and constant reminders that my kids don't put their hands near their mouths/faces has definitely helped us avoid stomach viruses when cruising. We also tend to avoid the buffet, only eating their a few times on our cruises.

    Thx! Just ordered it.
