I booked with the Red Cross in Venice. They had facilities in two major spots in Venice, so might be the same in Rome. I made appt on line.

If you want us to compare to other ceilings, you do need to tell us which sailing you’re looking at.
I actually am not asking for comparisons. I see those on this site. I’m asking WHY! Thanks

My sailing is May 26 Constellation

I see people bidding under $100, maybe a little more for upgrade bids, my cruise had the minimum bid, for weeks, for a veranda at $400. MINIMUM. It has now offered a 30% discount and minimum bid is $280. Any ideas on why it is so much higher than other sailings? There are loads of cabins in every category. Could it be that there are so many inside and ocean view that they don’t need to move guests out of these?
when I asked this weeks ago, people wanted to know which sailing. I don’t think it matters, does it?

I guess we’re all in the same “ boat.”

I’m using the app

Going through the check in process, I am filling out the health questionnaire and I come to the vaccination input. I do everything and it reads… info being verified. When I later go back to see it that part has a check, it seems to have reverted back to needing the input as if I had not yet entered it. Anyone else find this?

Has anyone used this type of service? You buy a test from them and they do a video visit to proctor your test. One company will proctor you using your own test. One company is Qured US in London. Another is Rapid Test & Trace.

Thanks, Jamie for your help. I can say inventory is very “large” and hasn’t changed much in the last few weeks. Maybe there will be another move up offer closer to sail date.

I don’t want to share too much info! I will say there are many unsold cabins in most categories
-
I am in an ocean view. The next category is veranda, at $450minimum. And it goes up, of course, for other categories.
-
OP here. So why don’t I have any 100 or so minimum bids….? mine only start at $450 or so
-
I got an offer today to move up. I have been following the tracker topic so I think I know a bit , but just a bit. The gauge started at at about $450 or so for the various categories. On the tracker topic I saw many comments of being able to bid $100 or so for some cabin categories. I don’t want to be too specific, but was mine higher because I have a pretty good deal on my current cabin? So I guess I’m asking if each passengers gauge could be different for the same cruise, depending on what they paid?

I know the Mediterranean cruises have not yet started, but does anyone have info if tours other than those of Celebrity, will be allowed!

Hi jsant
we are on that cruise as well. I think the ship leaves at 7. Get there way before that! We will be in Venice for a few days but have decided to go to Ravenna the night before and then tour there on the morning of the 26th. Very very quiet roll call for this cruise.

A few months ago when Celebrity (and Italy), moved the Venice port to Ravenna, they gave disrupted cruisers a $50 obc for their inconvenience. Was that $50 per passenger or $50 per cabin?

Maybe some of you have had experience:
I am ready to book my flights to Europe. The price through Celebrity Air is very good. I have an agent from a large online agency and I am very satisfied. He can do the booking or I can do it online directly with Celebrity. So the dilemma….. Celebrity advises that booking with them (probably with or without agent), will help me if I have a problem during the flight. Well, it is so hard to reach Celebrity when I don’t have a problem. No call back, very long wait times; you all know the drill. If I am in the midst of a problem and can’t reach them in a timely manner?
And will they talk to me? Right now Celebrity refers me to my agent with any question. Will they do the same with an air problem? This just puts another layer in getting in touch. Thanks for any advice. -

thanks for your help

Before I contact my TA, I thought I’d try for some experiences from this group: I am thinking of changing my cabin from a veranda to an outside. Would I have to cancel my booking and rebook? If so, would this happen if I upgraded my cabin?

Sorry,I think it was only a few weeks ago, not end of July that we got the notice

We have had several emails from Celebrity. I think it was around the end of July when the changes were made
Transportation from Venice hotel to Ravenna
in Italy Ports

It seems you’re not getting much help so I thought I’d jump in! We will be doing that next week…. From Piazzale Roma you can get a bus or train. Bus is easiest, bit it only goes once a day: 5:30. Trains run all day long, but you must transfer. If you’re even a bit adventurous, it should be no problem. If you’re.nervous about it, then go the private car route. We are going a day ahead to Ravenna, so we don’t have to worry about the time. We are also staying at a hotel in .Venice that is close to the train station , same in Ravenna.
check out rome2rio.com for specifics. As opposed to the $300 mentioned in another post to you, plus the water taxi, the train is about $17 to $35 per person.
